You remind me of me when I was younger (and I haven't changed a bit since) .... the True ability to Drive because you can Feel the car! Cant teach that shit man .. you're born with it! In a world like we have today where the majority of folks Cant drive anything unless its damn near fully automated .. I appreciate great driving skills!
@@nitish21 I've watched alot of your vids .. hopefully we can get in a VQ meet this year .. love to meet some of you guys and share some tips n tricks. Been a gear head since I was young .. always had sports cars (Vettes Mustangs Camaros .. new to the VQ world now but I'm loving them alot
You have a great taste in cars ;) I have a silver E46 (in germany though so straight pipe is a little risky ) but Magnaflow exhaust + ECU remap still gets me those awesome pops and bangs
It's been a few months and i was wondering where is the 540i... Seems its still there and I'm glad... I think this might be one of the 1st decent 540i pov ever... bring more
I miss mine. Keep an eye on your ABS module, your airbags, and your power steering. All 3 of mine failed all at the same time, and almost killed my dad.
nitish21 yeah that car was prob manufacturer defected. It was maintained. It was so low miles. It blew year and a half ago and we parted everything out now :/ It was fucked though, there was metal bits and oil on the ground everywhere Was my uncles car he bought in 00 and basically kept in garage for all its life
@@santiago_6280 yee but actually it just has m sport wheel , door sills and zhp shifter a not a true 2003 m sport. It’s a 1998 pre vanos. Was un aware at the time. But it’s still awesome bc the m62 pre TU is pretty badass I just installed exhuast and 7 inch double din touch screen check it out on my channel
Thats awesome man, hoping to sell my first car soon 03 330i 5 speed, looking for a vanos 6 speed. What do you think I should spend for one? Missouri, USA
Had two V8s in my life one a Hemi in a 300c and another a 5.4 Triton in a raptor but I think the next V8 I would give a shot at would be the LT4 which powered the CTS-V among other GM high performance line ups. I test drove one and I melted. So hopefully someday ( sooner than later) ill go that route but we shall see.
nitish21 I’m sure you would be in heaven man I only rented a stingray with a 8 speed auto but that thing ripped so good then again at the time I owned the raptor so anything with 330 hp and up that was lighter would feel so much faster lol
I love boost as much as the next person, but a German v8 just has such a nice sound! I don’t get nearly as much popcorn when I let out the throttle in my s4 though 😭
For a "modern" type v8 with 32v and dohc per bank, the BMW m62 v8 does sound awesome when you open the exhaust up. I personally daily drive a e39 535i with sports shift auto, I've deleted the resonator & fit a Remus rear muffler. Gives it a nice note for a little 3.5lt v8. Not too loud when cruising, you can tell it's a v8, but stomp on it and it roars, 6k rpm is a lot of fun from time to time. Reasonable economy too, I do a lot of highway driving and use under 11/100. I also have a ford 302w powered 91 Xr8, wife has a 03 ford xr8 with a 32v dohc 5.4 v8 and a 01 x5 4.4 m62tu v8. We have other car's with other engine configurations too, but it's so hard to beat a nice V8!
Hi. Great video. I just installed a dump kit between the resonators and the muffler. Sound is good, but still not very loud. My wife didn't say anything. I'm now thinking about straight pipe the resonators (resonator delete) and leaving the mufflers in place. Keeping the sound down when dump valve is closed.
They don’t sound fake either, I’m not a huge fan of these pops and bang tunes that sound unnatural, but I do like ones that sound like they’re natural. The Huracan is a good example of how it should be done, not over the top.
Yuuuup just watched the night video and now this one and can confirm you're in my ht Brampton. I haven't seen your car at all tho, would've been nice to do a few runs with u
I just appreciate to finally see an american driving a manual and not white knuckling the steering wheel with two hands like they hold on to their dear fucking life between gear shifts. Just relax. The car is safe it will be fine as you endeavour on your journey to shift from 2nd to 3rd. Be careful tho. Your 121bhp (its mapped bro it went up 6bhp) miata might loose the rear end
See these are the cars i like more than Ferrari's or lamborghini's because u already know they have a lot of power But the 370z u wouldn't expect the car to have much power until in is like 7 cars in front of
Bro this whip might be a beater to you but they are beautiful cars when done up, great car for the time. Amazing sound, you got it right with the exhaust.
How is fuel consumption on one of these btw? I'm for sure gonna get one next year. Really gunning for a 540i but if I can't find a good example for the right price a 530i would also be great. But really want a V8. Any info on real world numbers?
Verhouding klopt wel in het begin en toen moest je tanken. Aleen jammer aan zulke auto's is dat je na de jaren gewoon pk mist en dan klopt de 0.100 niet meer verder super autos
Straight pipe as in no cats, no resonator and no muffler? I am on the same setup, sounds great, kinda drones inside aaaand I feel like I lost some power/torque once I removed the muffler, any idea why? Considering I already didn't have a resonator, while I was with the muffler.
@@nitish21 damn. I know a guy with one for sale for 6k in great shape. Back up camera LEDs all around and everything in the car works. Sounds super mean. He has 2 suvs which is why he wants to sell it. He's not in a hurry either
What are usually the main things to check before buying one of these? And how does it feel in corners? A heavy car i assume but still a bmw. Just in love with it. Cant decide what to buy next. S4 b5, forester sti ii or this.
Feels absolutely beautiful in the corners you don't really notice the weight... Mine was funny running fine but within 1 year so much had to be replaced. Not much you can easily check on first sight. I've been told to find out if the timing guides were done but I never did
nitish21 thanks for the reply. Well last bmw i owned was the 325 e46... those naturally come with alot of issues anyways. At that time i was still living in germany. Now im in canada and surprisingly these are alot cheaper here. Bad side is, if something breaks parts are probably lots harder to find i assume. Thats why im kind of careful with what i am getting. Been jumping from video to video trying to figure out experience of people with my possible choices. Heart will always say bmw but wallet, especially as a student plus covid19 headache says otherwise😬
