I'm only 15 minutes in, however, thank you for making this. You shifted through the sludge and gave me a general idea of what was out there and I didn't have to waste hours getting bogged down , esp since we seem to share similar opinions on things. Ochikobore fruit tart sounds awful. I passed on it since idol anime tend to be hit or miss in regards to well.....everything. But I didn’t expect it to be this bad.
Tonikaku Kawaii - A character who's cute, earnest and yet so full of himself, is like... that's like, me, I think I'm gonna keep my eyes on this lol Adachi to Shimamura - oh nooo my poor baby, i love you, sorry you were going through this, i kinda feel it myself too but i was never really able to word it as well as you have King's Raid - Goodness, this is like... For a second I thought this was an ad for a cheesy F2P smartphone game like Raid: Shadow Legends or something Himitsukessha etc. - You're right about the strong mid-00s Newgrounds vibes, there's this guy who looks like a M. Bison/Waluigi mashup. This feels like a great mess, just hope that the comedy gets at least a tad more sophisticated than just "people poop oopsie" All in all this was super fun, informative and engaging, who would've thought? I can say I wouldn't mind seeing one of these four times every year but don't do it if you feel like it puts a pressure on you
Dang I'm trying to watch subtle gay girl show now. You were kinder to Elena's Journey than I was. Let me know if you think it stays good, I might go back to it.
hm. we'll have to see. i've watched another two and while i was still happy through ep 2, i have to admit, i'm feeling much more apprehensive after ep 3. i still want to keep up with it but...in that specific ep, between elaina's seeming detachment from the world around her and the show's seeming disinterest in exploring the world it establishes and the problems therein, something about the whole affair just seemed off-kilter. i want to like eliana as a flawed, somewhat narcissistic protagonist who hopefully matures throughout her journeys...but i'm not sure we're going in that direction. but i still want to stick with it to find out! just...i'm hesitant now.
