I am delighted to be welcoming in to stock this superb example of the Rover 827Si. This 800 comes with a genuine 65,000 miles, with invoices and service records dating back to when it was new. We have carried out minor recommissioning work since we have had the car including; new sump gasket, new CV joints for drive shafts, transmission fluid change, 4 new Bridgestone tyres and a new front and mid exhaust section. The 2.7 Honda V6 runs and drives as smoothly as it should and mechanically it would be safe to say that this is one of the best out there. The general condition outside is great for the age with a few minor chips and imperfections present. The interior is in good condition with the exception of the usual dash lift above the dials being present. This is a great example of the breed being 100% usable everyday but with little improvements that can be made over time. If you would like any more information please call us on 01621 770003.

I once drove this car from Norwich to Dundee in bare feet consuming Toblarone after my marraige breakup. Its performance was ten on ten, textbook. Alan. P

My Dad always got the Si's plenty good enough. My favourite was this exact colour and with those alloys 😍

The 1996 honda Legend used a 3.5 cc V6. The Rover 2.7 was brilliant. Nice colour. There are a few of these here in Bangkok. No rust at all!

Great video but the engine descriptions aren’t the best! The O series was only available with a carb on the MK1 800 and was a mildly warmed over version of the 2.0 engine in the SD1. There was also the M series which was basically a twin cam O series, available with single point or multi point injection. Each of these had varying power outputs. The Mk2 800s had a warmed over version of the M series, again 2.0 litre, named T series. The 2.0 litre T series turbo in the Vitesse sport was the most powerful (200bhp), not any if the V6’s. The 2.5 Rover KV6 replaced the Honda 2.7 V6 (which was actually 2.5 litres on early cars), the Honda and Rover engines were never available at the same time. They only ever had one Diesel engine option. This was available in later Mk1 cars and Mk2’s up to 1996. This was a VM engine of 2.5 litres, with a turbo (as used in the Range Rover from 1986) and was an enlarged version of the 2.4 litre diesel used in the SD1.

The KV6 replaced the Honda V6. An 827 with a manual gearbox was always a nice drive. Would love a 827 coupe now

I had a 820SLi in Oxford Blue, automatic. Sold it and bought the Big Daddy Rover Vitesse.

I had the 827 Vitess, in British racing Green and loved it. I put a nice exhaust on it and sounded like it should. 👍👌

I had the 825 sterling (petrol) with manual gearbox and it was a lovely car.

Great vid and nice looking 800. Knew someone who had one of these back in the day, never drove one but rode in a few, very smooth. Don't get the criticism in the motoring press at the time about "rough" suspension - it was smooth enough I thought. Did also know a few people with Rover 600's, again so long as you get one with a Honda engine they are as reliable as any car.

I worked at a Rover dealership in the 90s for two years and never came across one VM diesel powered 825d, a very rare car indeed.

Looks fantastic in Caribbean blue, I'd have to put some original alloys on though. Personal choice but after owning many, many cars the 800 is probably my all time favourite.

I owned two. The dash lift can be easily fixed. A guy came to my house and stuck it down in ten minutes.
