When you pulled the Giulia and the Duetto out of the garage I had goosebumps, the sound of the Alfa tween cam is so unique, soul of Alfaromeo. Thank you for the excellent videos you make it's real pleasure watch them.
Fabulous, I'm 46 now and I owned a white Duetto when I was 23 here in the UK, it followed a Giulia Super 1600...got quite emotional watching this, brought back many good memories. Bravo!
Great seeing someone who isn’t grey-haired restoring a classic! I’m an MGB tragic in my 20’s, and restored one as a first car... I think Jethro is the only other guy my age I’ve seen properly care for a classic like that, let alone driving one! Love your work, mate! 👍🏻👍🏻
My ex wife used to tell me that I couldn't have a TR6 because I didn't have white hair. She's gone, but I have a TR6 and an Alfa spider to fill the gap nicely.
To me this is the most beautiful version of all Alfa Romeo duetto spyder made over the years. Fun fact: in Italy we call it "osso di seppia" that means "cuttlefish bone" because of the shape of is back. Thanks for the video and to keep alive and kicking these beauties!
I am so happy to have found your channel in which you treat the Alfaromeo with love. What the Agnelli family did not do is what they touch destroy. a warm greeting from the city of Catania italy.
As a child I loved the Giulia 1300 TI of my Dad! Indeed it seems that Alfa Romeo Giulia anticipated all the contents of the contemporary modern cars! Congratulations for your job, for your passion and for accuracy of your videos!
My Duet Spider Veloce had a hard top and it was noisy. The rubber padding squeaked and the top thumped when the car rode the bumps. The top eventually ended up on my garage wall beside the snow board--both were consigned to being seasonal gear. I've been following this rebuild and your Alfa is nice indeed. I am a fan of white roadsters and performance cars because of their lines and because of visibility. This is indeed a good day.
So much satisfaction to watch this little Duetto be back on the Roads and by the way, South African roads look awesome. I really hope to watch more of your videos and more often! Stay safe!
Wonderful! Congratulations on a superb video and very well constructed build. It looks as if you actually were having a bit of fun on your first drive. All of mine are harrowing! The music was a lovely touch, and kept with the happy theme of the video. Nicely presented and executed. Enjoy that pretty little Alfa, and thank you for taking us along on the journey. Cheers, Tom
I really admire your work, you get big restoration jobs done like it’s no big deal. You’ll have a really fine collection when these projects are finished.
Brings back memories.... Love the car! Love your garage! Thanks! Great to see you put as much attention to your video as the 'Duetto'. Who sings that great song during the drive?
Congratulatíons good job, I have one Alfa 68 per 41 years since 1979 and I did make 3 restaurations as this, my Duetto is white too, comments from Brazil .
it´s nice to see that´s alive!!! I envy you a lot.. here in Argentina we still in quarantine and i haven´t driven my Track car/fast road Fiat 147 since the beginning of March :( :( Cheers Man! I would love to give you more than a Like.. but only have one!
Excellent Jethro! I was flashing on my 1974 spider when I restored it back to me late 80s. I was about your age. The roll out and everything was exactly the same! A little bit of rattle when you roll.. Its all the same! 100% Alfa Romeo!
Made me just want to punch the air when she rolled down the road. Has been quite a journey to follow. Rewarding for us, but must be hugely rewarding for you. Looking forward to the bike re builds.
Congratulations on getting it out onto the road. it looks amazing. Would be good to get some more sound of the exhaust and the engine from inside the cabin when you are pushing it a bit.
Even though I saw bits of this car driving on your Instagram, this video made me emotional! Congratulations on wrapping up this project and I'm eagerly waiting for more
Welcome back Jethro,it was such a pleasure to finally see this jewel of a Duetto back on the road. You have done a remarkable job to reach this far,and with a bit more work, the car will be the best Alfa Duetto in South Africa
You have some of the best video editing and scene capture here on YT among automotive channels. Keep up the great work! Much love from a fellow enthusiast.
Great to see the Duetto back on the road congratulations love its sound and looks - the 1300Ti sounds like it’s a lot of fun to drive also - can’t wait to see the restorations continue
i have said it once and i will say it again what a fantastic beautiful car and what an epic job you've done!!! i saw in typical alfa fashion the gauges where trying to hypnotise you lool seriously J the time and effort you have put in shows!! so happy to see a new vid from you also
I enjoyed this series a lot, the devil is in the details. I would appreciate if you post pictures of the process and the little things from the material you already have that doesnt make it to youtube, thank you so much Jethro!
Not just a master with engendering, your documentation has been excellent. You show a bit of your struggle but keep most of it to yourself. Your future is so bright! A very strong young man indeed.
The duetto is a beautiful car. I had a 71 spyder (bob tail) and alway wanted a 68/69 duetto. Congrats on a beautiful outcome. I wish there was some affordable way to get it to North Carolina so I could make an offer. BTW, lovely countryside.
Bro I've been literally waiting for this car to complete for months! Watched all of your videos! Been really a dream to own one of these since I've started watching your videos! Keep it up bro🙌👍
Most excellent! I can't believe how you managed to keep your smile hidden on your first drive. I could not hold mine in. I'm really happy for you - that you got to this point where you can drive it and that it looks so stunningly beautiful! You must feel quite a sense of accomplishment. I miss riding through those scenic Natal roads on my motorcycle when I look at the rural background landscapes. Thanks for another quality production with a happy ending.
Cool as always! I think it needs another vid on a twisty road with the background music turned off. I was struggling to hear that engine note on this one. Cheers!
Oh finally back to the road man! So happy to see this beautiful duetto running...ans so well! First run are full of anxiety and paranoia for me 😂 paying attention to rumors, clicks, rattling and whatever... But it's so satisfying!!!
