A friend and I were driving back from Minnesota in '94 after helping my dad close my grandfathers estate. We stopped to steal some corn for that evening in the endless cornfields of South Dakota. Yuck! It was corn for pig feed😝😝. We laughed and threw them at road signs. We pulled into the Mt. Rushmore Park approx. 8:45 pm and were astonished to find the place was packed, and we got to watch the 9pm showing of the film about the sculpture. We went back to Keystone to camp and were delighted to find many shops open late for the tourists! It was magical!
