Driving through small town Beauty, Kentucky in Eastern Kentucky coal mining country. Beauty is located in Martin County off US Route 40.
Beauty was once called Himlerville and was home to an all Hungarian community built around the Himler Coal Company in the 1920s. By 1928 the coal company went bankrupt due to flooding, and most of the residents abandoned the town.
***In the video I passed a sign that I thought read "Lefferty". I looked on the map and on google and could not find a town or village by that name in the area.
