Initially starting life under the project name 'Tiger', the JS-3 began as an R&D platform for testing, & then after showing promise in the KAMA world cup, & then unmatched efficiency at the 2023 MultiGP International Open & Australian Drone Nationals, is ready for its official debut into the BMS Racing stable. The guiding principles of the design are as follows:
-Had to fit a complete, high power 5" powertrain & Foxeer HDZero system
-Lightweight & tight weight distribution
-Small motor to motor - no wasted material
This leaves us with an ultra lightweight machine, that maintains an impressive top speed, & outstanding cornering characteristics & uncompromised low-mid speed acceleration.

Thank you for your ongoing support! As a first-gen JS-1 user since its launch, it's been my trusty go-to frame. Initially hesitant about the JS-3 release, I eventually took the plunge, and boy, am I glad I did! The JS-3's design and build setup are incredibly user-friendly, and I've found myself flying better than ever before. Huge props to the BMS family for crafting such an incredible machine! Moving forward, I'll be transitioning my JS-1 fleet to the JS-3 and keeping one JS-1 as a wall piece.

Yep HDZero is insane and absolutely love it. Thomas will still need to use Analog for Japan, so his JDL JS-3 Frames will all have to be analog

Love the HQ BMS props. They are the fastest 5" tri blade I tested on a racer. But you know which tri blades get more top speed on a racer?! HQ D4x5x3 got me a higher top speed 😅 weird

Would a tpu hoop on the top plate provide impact protection, save weight and also be handy for turtle mode?

I need to add more files to the Thingieverse file set, both the Unicorn Horn and also a TPU Hoop couldn't hurt. Out of curiosity what does the hoop weigh on your quad? The Aero Pod comes in at 4g

We haven't touched basis TBS or other suppliers as yet. In fact we've not really marketed the new gear, but will get onto this 👍

Did you notice any increase in gyro noise/vibration running the stack screws through the arms?

In the race footage at the end at the NZ Open, people were commenting on how quiet and smooth the quad sounded. It's possible to transfer additional noise via the stack screws but it all depends on the design and carbon used etc. So in short, no issues with noise on the JS-3. Speaking of which we need to do a build video on the JS-3 which should cover how it should be constructed.

@@BMSWEB I have a theory that using the frame to dampen vibrations is just inducing physical latency into the equation.

So light for a full 5 inch, now if only it had a litttle room for rear mounted djio03 woukd be like 80g or less

It would be simple enough to increase its size to allow for fitment of DJI, however it would depend on there being enough people wanting it. But 100% Doable

Im 100% in agreement. The JS-2 is still relevant frame and expect more unique frame designs from us. The significance for us is the fact that we've got full control of all aspects of Development and Manufacturing
