ABC7's drone footage shows where the Salinas River has overtopped its banks in Monterey County, putting many of the ag fields underwater. abc7ne.ws/3Wc6nAi #monterey #river #flood #storm #abc7news
How do you get rich farmland? You let the river overflow naturally and spread minerals and nutrients. How do you destroy farmland, you prevent this process and saturate the land with chemical fertilizers trying to mimic nature.
That’s funny they don’t have any water because they don’t store any water they let it go out into the ocean is it they leave the reservoirs 2/3 empty thinking they’re going to get so much more rain and they don’t makes a lot of sense
@@ApriliaRacer14 Hey we may not be as smart as the people that run this water situation that so many people depend on but I think I would fill these lakes to 3/4 full and then open the tap then let the extra water flow just saying. 🤔
OK that is the Salinas river I have seen it a lot worse than that and there are no structures to harm so their farm fields they need water. OK be thankful you guys got that water out there in California. Your yearly average is only 22 inches that’s squat. If anything’s gonna be dramatize, it will definitely come out of California.
That's the new Chualar bridge in Chualar. They only built it recently to replace the old steel truss bridge that had probably been there 100 years. BTW, this is hardly a rich area, ignorant people.
it’s shocking to see today while i was heading to work i saw my fellow field workers still working and picking lettuce even tho the levee broke on blanco road and the water was maybe 15-20 feet away from them already flooded most of the fields on the left heading to marina, how can they still make them work in such hazardous conditions, it’s really blows my mind.
"From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matthew 4:17 "Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also." Matthew 5:38-39 "And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly." I'm a real fan of California wine 🍷, and, especially NAPA valley....saw a FRIKIN video of the valley yesterday and I can say without reservation there will probably be no Vin 2023 . I'm a Cali born and raised lad and my heart goes out to the people suffering from the storms....... much needed because of the drought, but, maybe now people will begin to take climate change seriously......
Mmmmmm the climate has always been changing. Do your research. The earth was warmer or as warm as it is now from the late 700-900’s. Vikings raided and the English had wine vineyards due to calmer warmer seas and weather. The climate change also wiped out the Anasazi due to a 70 year drought. Go back even further and you see the rising and falling of seas. We’ve only had reasonable monitoring data for the last 50 years and fallible data the last 200 years. Climate change is serious, but I’m more concerned about chemical pollutants affecting life.
@@Rzagski don't need you to educate me on climate.... I expressed my opinion and whether you like it or not it's fine, but, the problem is the severity of the storms and the fact that man has left no escape for water to drain back into the ground. Also it has to do with the carbon footprint of the oil and gas industry, and, the dependency for transportation and heating needs. Like I said I am entitled to my opinion and until the right to free thinking is taken away, I will go on expressing....
@@williamriley9904 Bravo William!! Know it all's are such "know nothing's". Such a bore. I really liked your comment. Thanks for standing up to "superiority bully's". 😁👏💪 A Colorado Mountain Grandma, USA 💜🇺🇸
