I installed this ..but I can't say sure that I can start always my car with this drone system because this failed many times due to drone network problem. Conventional remote is reliable in my experience.
My system came with both a remote that attaches to the key chain and the drone mobile installed. It was about 30 more for the drone mobile. I figured I might as well get it installed now rather than pay the 150-199 later. It is nice to have both the remote in hand and the phone app.
The best system you can possibly have, I've had it over a year never had a problem. It sounds off on your phone when my neighbor hit my truck. 😡. Side swiped the driver side of my truck, kinda hate that happened. 😡. But the drone let me know.
Not sure if you tried or seen other posts but since you have, have you tried lowering your car insurance with drone? Been seeing online that it could possibly lower your rate with this
I have one but I'm having a hard time using the rear defrost function. Best buy said they installed it right not sure it coming on when the inside temp is below 32
Yes, you can actually do this yourself but it does require you to buy a programmer. It's possible a dealer could do this for free as it only takes a few seconds but if not, you will need an FT-OP500 Option Programmer. You unplug your antenna that the dealer-installed in your car and plug that cable into the Option Programmer and find the number value you want to set it to. The max time is 45 minutes which is what I have mine set to. Typically the value you need to locate is 2-07 and you set it to 3 which is 45 minutes. There are a lot of free online manuals regarding this which show you the corresponding information to the numbers shown on the Programmer.
@@plenn9888 have you ever been in -40 and colder temps? 15 minutes doesn’t always do the job sometimes the vehicle isn’t even blowing warm air at the point
I just had this installed this week. There is a setting in the mobile app that you can change the run time to 15,25, or 45 minutes. This may have been an update in the year since you posted though.

I just got 2021 Hyundai and app that comes with car is absolute garbage. Takes a minute to react to command , works half of the time. I am thinking of changing it. What about other smart watches support ? I am not in to crapples. Can it adjust temperature inside the car and turn on heated seats etc ?
If you install the compustar on a car which has keyless ignition, can the compustar keyfob be used as a key or do you still need the factory keyfob to actually go somewhere?
I see a video and you can use the campustar controller And not necessarily have the factory key on you’re packed but, have to turn on the car with compustar go into the car press unlock from the controller and then press the brake pedal then you’re able to use the controller without have the factory
I’m looking at getting this in my car. And I think I’m getting it to use my normal key fob that came with the car. So I’m not sure if it will enhance the security system that my car already has
This means that a connection error has occured between your device (phone/tablet) and the drone mobile. This typically occurs when the either the drone device or your application requires an update, or there is an issue with either the connection to the LTE service (typically AT&T or Verizion ) or Drome mobile services are having an issue (not very common)
It's a yearly fee for all inclusive serivces from your phone, tablet or PC (LTE service) including Remote start , GPS tracking, Lock /Unlock doors, Temp on vehicle, tamper check and alert. You can also set up a fleet of vehicles to be assigned to an account and tracked or controlled by (1) or more devices Note: GPS satelites didn't just appear in the sky , we had to put them there, and now we pay for this convenience.
Had it installed in wifes car and in one of mine. Shes PISSED, the damn thing does NOT work at all. It tracks your PHONE, not the car, for starters. The temp gauge was about FORTY degrees off🤦♂️ It basically doesnt do anything its supposed to do.
01:14 .... 25 minutes thats exactly what I wanna do on mines I contacted drone and was told to contact a dealer and they can adjust it ... is this how you got it to run for 25 minutes? I'm in NY NJ and I def need way more than 15 minutes to cool my car .... black interior and leather 🙄

Honestly, I am considering purchasing one, but based on the drone app reviews and viper reviews, it looks like Viper has much better reviews. So, now I am confused as to which is better.

These reviews are always bias you didn't mention that there's a monthly subscription charge it also has to be professionally installed it's not Plug & Play
It’s not even that bad, especially when you buy the entire setup needed for this. I got mine at bestbuy as a complete set for about $400. This is including installation. And $5.99 a month isn’t bad at all. You also can just got with basic Bluetooth connection(150ft) without any subscription.
