What is going on everyone? Leon checkin' in and we are at it again with another video!
In today's video we will be doing a tutorial and review of DroneMobile.
DroneMobile is such a cool name. It sounds very futuristic. So what is it?
DroneMobile is a LTE system that works with an aftermarket remote start system to monitor and start your vehicle remotely
Monitoring and starting your vehicle can be done on a smartphone, smartwatch, tablet, or computer with unlimited range.
This system provides features like vehicles status, GPS tracking, car battery voltage, inside temperature, and maintenance reminders.
Drone Mobile is available in several hardware configurations with different features.
The module itself requires professional installation at an authorized retailer and was complete within a day.
For reference, I have the DR-3100 module installed.
As always, I only feature products or services I buy or would like to buy.
This gives the content more credibility and appeal because we feature items that interest me and change the way we live.

CONGRATULATIONS! 🙂 It's been working very very well for me still. There has only been a few times it hasn't worked; one time there was a server outage for a day or two and the other time, my car battery was just too low. But it's nice that the app lets you know your battery status too. I've known to replace my battery because of the app. Overall, still an amazing life improving technology to make any car feel new and improved. 🙂

Hi Jonny! If it helps in still using this too. I find it works great for hot days when you want to cool your car before getting in, on a cold day when you want your car to heat or just anytime you want the engine to warm up properly. It's nice that you can monitor your car from miles and miles away and control it. Very secret agent feeling. 😎

What's the difference between the two? And what didn't you like about the Viper version?

@@davethomas5686 well if the phone connection is bad u may not get an instant start. ull have to press it several time before it starts. with the DRONE if u press the auto start weather is a bad connection it still starts. i find that to be amazing.

Hi Yartumo! Yes. Using the Drone Mobile App, you can track location, vehicle speed, battery status, inside temperature and more. :)

How long does it take to connect/start the car? I have Kia uvo but it takes a good 1-2 min when your press start before the car actually started.

Hi Koua, It most like depends on signal strength (which you may be able to see in the app). I have a strong signal strength and my car normally starts within the 1st 10 seconds.

Does the key fob need to be left in the car for the Drone remote start to work? I have a 2021 Lexus RX-350L and 2022 Lexus ES-350.

Not at all Dave. If you have it set up through the app, you never have to use the keyfob (unless there is a service outage, which happened once for me). But regular keys still work as a backup. 🫡

@@TechCrackedWeekly I hate the new key fobs with the passive unlocking. The key fobs constantly transmit and the signals can be received and cloned by auto thieves. The newer key fob systems are very poorly designed and vulnerable to auto theft. The key fob RF blocking pouches help reduce the constant transmissions from the key fobs, but the RF blocking pouches are a hassle to use.

Hi Mr Russell, I got it done a custom parts dealer. I had to also get a aftermarket remote start installed since I never had one. Pricing came in at about $390 with aftermarket remote start system, drone mobile, and labor and tax. 🙂

Hi Mike! The windshield mount is this unit right here: amzn.to/3UdsNkO As for the installation, I'm sure it varies by dealer so I'll say anywhere between $300-$600. Mine was in the low $400 if I remember correctly.

Hi, Can this device be installed on ANY vehicle (Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Lamborghini, Range Rover, Ferrari, etc) having push START/STOP button as well as vehicles having chip inside their keys?

Hi, I'm not sure if it can be installed on any vehicle, but it can be installed on many vehicles. As always, I recommend contacting an authorized dealer to see if it works with your vehicle. 🙂

Does this system have a start delay? If installing on a diesel engine there should be about a 10 second delay to heat the glow plugs before fully starting the car...

Hi Trei, What vehicle are you using? I have a hybrid, and I've noticed this issue in winter. However, I've been able to get around this by preventing my engine from turning off at stoplights so my battery charges sufficiently in cold weather.

requires professional installation? complete in under a day? it takes 10 minutes to put it in LOL just plugs into the main unit and its plug and ply what are you talking about? i did it myself . just use the app to scan the barcode on it and setup your account on the app thats it

Can DroneMobile be hacked? That’s my biggest worry, than someone might be able to get into my vehicle by hacking it using the LTE signal.

No, but the remote and bluetooth can be. Put the remotes in a faraday box / bag when going inside and you are good. If there is an option for bluetooth nearby unlock, I would just disable that otherwise you have to turn off bluetooth every time for piece of mind, and that is just a hassle.

I think they don’t,i have push button and if they don’t have the original key once they open the door my car will shut off ryt away , and my other car that has a mechanical key if they don’t insert or use a orinal key once they press the brake pedal will shut off,hope can help
