Thanks. I just take it of completely, walk it to the other side and re hoist it. The plan is to use a furler in the future, so you only have to pull the tack to the other side.
Beautiful proa! The main hull looks like Madness, the 31 ft proa from Chesapeake Light Craft, but the float is definitely different... Is it inspired by it? I also like the tiller system, a simple line in a loop with a big tennis ball as the handle! But you have to slack it out when you want to raise the front rudder, right? Do you have a construction blog, or some more details??? Congratulations on a great looking unique boat!
Thanks! It is inspired by Russel Brown's boats, but fully designed and build by myself. The line for pulling the rudder down also tightens the steering line, and by releasing it to pull up it goes slack. proa-hydra.blogspot.com/?m=1 It is not extremely well documented ;) I will post more details as I go.
