I swear if I ever see these fellas live..and they open JUST. LIKE. THIS. ..I will shed tears of joy 'cause of the bagpipes..and then mosh to one of my favored songs after th'pipes. 🤘🇮🇪🤘
I live in Boston, and catch them every year on St Patrick's Day weekend. They bring the fucking house down every year. If you ever have the chance, come to Boston and see a St Paddys show.
Love these guys! My son gave me a Murphys t-shirt last year...I love to wear it where I live...all seniors 55 & up. I'd like to see their faces if just once at one of our get-togethers I could blast this out!
I bet Mike himself would disagree. Al's a legend! And for the record I love Mike, I have a Do or Die tattoo for christ sake but I think he found something really great in the Street Dogs.
Probably sacrilege to say this, but Al Barr sings "Do or Die" much better here than Mike McColgan does on the studio album. If you like McColgan, not trying to take that away from you, but he sings in a bizarre vocal inflection on "Do or Die" that makes it hard sometimes to make out the words, while in this video, Al's vocals are clearer and I can understand the words better.
Tell me Brian, what is an actual Irishman? Someone born of course in Ireland? what about N. Ireland, Belfast? How about in Boston, Chicago or New York? What about those Irish that moved to Glasgow during the Potato famine? Isn't Gibson a Scottish last name? Going back in fife to 1335. I'm just trying to get a line on this.
Eh, Canadian daughter of the thistle and the rose here. Have to say my Norwegian in-laws think I am corrupting their three grandsons with the "Scotland the Brave"...my 7 y/o LOVES to belt out the line "deep grooves of steel trodden down in their path" and "see how red the green tartan waves".
@expatcanuck79 im from nova scotia my 9 and 6 year old rock out to dkm all the time and im from a german family the wife is hard core irish catholic and laughs her self foolish when the lil bastards start dancing there fol hearts out.
My conversation with Brian was a really good one. He lives in N.Ireland and his ancestors originally came from Scotland, several generations ago. There's a lot of conversation about what an Irishman or a Scotsman or a Welshman is, do you have to be born there? can you just declare yourself one for those of us who's ancestors left their homelands to come to America? Some native borns say no, I'm Scottish and have not run into this but some folks say: not born there, not one.
@@Catalpa1876 ach weel , yer richt when ye say we hiv the music and sang, but you need to look up how the union cam aboot.nothin wrang wi auld scotland.
@@brucecollins4729 The Union is biased to London and England’s interests. It’s a take take regime. Taking Scottish wealth and giving little in return. Your loyalty to the crown is admirable but ultimately misplaced. It’s time now for Scotland to take it’s rightful place among the free nations of the world.
Fake posers cant tell the difference between a scottish and irish. Those pipes are scottish highland, not irish. The song is also Scottish, not irish. They are not irish, they are from Boston. Lastly, fake accent.
