On August 14, 2002, Williams collapsed while in the band's tour bus in Manassas, Virginia. The 30-year-old singer died from cardiomyopathy, a disease of the heart muscle which he had not been diagnosed with and, as such, was unaware he had...R.I.P
If you're saying he died from a drug overdoes so some research please - he died from heart failure caused by cardiomyopathy (heart muscle disease), which went undiagnosed until his death.
i can only imagine how refined their performances live would be by now if Dave was still alive so many years after the release of Sinner and how refined their songs would be they might have actually become one of the best and most popular metal bands from the "young ones" after the era of Metallica
I was a kid when this song came out and loved it even back then. Now I hit all my maxes at the gym to this song! Rest In Peace Dave you are a fkn legend!
Saw these guys with Dave at Ozzfest 2002. Less than two weeks later I am at work and I get a phone call that Dave passed away. Fucked up feeling I will never forget. RIP DAVE WILLIAMS!!!
Haha! I was 14! What a time to be alive! Nu-metal, as contentious as it was, was the last significant metal incarnation. It was the last point at which metal was big, significant. Given metal is a genre of theatrical scale (everything massive), it was the last time metal truly sung. Bands that could fill arenas, choruses you’d hear at every pub, gigs everyone would wanna be at. What do we have now? Formulaic downtuned guitars and office haircuts devoid of any balls or personality. So many idle sub genres of sub genres trying to make their empty sound matter in some way. Metal’s been dead nearly two decades now :(
@@brem4204 ive done that before. I was watching hellyeah and i started pushing people when i was drunk as fuck at the front. They just said "Dude calm down" and stood there. Fuckin lameasses
I've never met Dave but he reminds so much of my friend I was in my first band with. I truly mean that with no disrespect. The guy was a big influence on me. I miss those days. I'm 30 now. I was 13-16 then. I wish time didn't fly by as fast as it does. I'm an alcoholic and it makes it fly by faster. I hope Dave, Vinnie and Dime are jammin as I type this.
the good die young your good words will carry on forever in my head Dave Williams may your peaceful words be spread through the world "let the bodies hit the floor'!
Lucky enough to have seen them on the second stage at Ozzfest years ago. I might never have had a more fun moment in my life than when they did "Bodies" that day.
I miss you Dave!!! I'm not fine when I think You aren't here... R.I.P. my friend, I can't believe this... Legend of the rock, your voice still screams with all its power!!!
R.I.P. Dave.... I was so bummed out when I found out Dave Williams died.... This guy had a real recognizable voice. But I have to admit Ryan McCombs also did a great job, to bad he didn't stay with Drowning Pool.
best live perfomance on all of youtube....dave's stage presence was undeniable(probably why dime called him stage) i miss the shit outta both of em man but they havin a hell of a party somewhere.... R.I.P. STAGE -n- DIME
