I don't blame you, I worked for Firestone when it started and that's all I did all day was replace the recalls, I had to quite after everyone calling Firestone and myself a "Babykiller". It wasn't our fault, Ford put them on knowing very well that they weren't designed for SUV's, they were made for pickup trucks that don't reach high speeds like a Exploder does. Ford owned us and we were the scapegoat's for all of this. We did design a tire for it but they were 20 dollars more than the Wilderness, so I stay away from Fords since apparently human life is worth $20 to them. =(

My drums click when the wheels are turning. Not when braking. Is that still the spring adjuster that needs set?

So what if my vehicle is clicking when I break and there is improper clearance in the drum, what should i do?

You should remove the rear wheel, the central nut and then the drum itself; there is a small metal wheel with teeth (usually the cogged wheel is placed at 12 or 6 o'clock, after you remove the drum you should see it, it makes common body with a small shaft). With a screwdriver you should be able to rotate that small cogged wheel. It has a diameter of like 20-30 mm at the most, it's teeth facing you. When you rotate the cogged wheel, notice how the brake shoes open up or retract, and therefore rotate the small wheel in the direction which retracts the brake shoes by a small amount (2 - 3 mm). When you put the drum back and rotate it, you should hear a small continuous drag sound throughout a full rotation.

@@billk8899 Did my first brake job at age 15, fixing to do one on my Van at age 70. The only time I wear protective leather gloves is if the component is too hot or sharp to handle. You do not want to breathe brake dust. So I wear the same mask to do a brake job as I wear into Wally World.
