For those of you freaked out about the whole axe thing: What happened was, it was an axe throwing contest with a marching band to the left side. One of the contestants missed and somehow managed to get the drummer. Nobody purposefully threw an axe at him, that'd just be stupid

1:48 That happens all the time. It doesn't have anything to do with skill. I do that, my drum teacher does that (and he's getting close to his 50s). That won't stop happening, the most you can do is put sticks in stick holders around your set and just pick one up once that happens.

That last one made my day...

as a guitarist i feel their pain when they just lose their grip on the drumsticks it's kinda like when we lose the grip on the pick

I remember being a beginner drummer . Drum sticks slipping, blisters, the whole sha bang. Now I have drum gloves that I wear every now and then and I've gotten a lot better. Soon I'll be a 2 year drummer.

one of my sticks slipped off from my hand twice during one rehearsal and the actual event when I was playing for the sch band... well, we played the song like a lot of times and I wasn't that a strong player and sweaty hands and nervousness came to play so yeah... we were playing bad romance by gaga and it was that fill in part into the chorus... but heck yeah, it was a fun experience learning the drums, glad i challenged myself into taking up a new skill😂👍😆
