I wish i played the drums... played other instruments in marching band in Houston. But i had to click on this after seeing the glasses on. My immediate reaction was a slight chuckle and a thought bubble " Professor Clint teaching these young'uns again" Gotta pass on that knowledge brother.. stay cool man.
Haha, I can’t see crap without my specs! I get way more views on my tutorial type videos so I thought I would do a few of those to get my subscriber numbers up. I hope some younger guys get something out of these videos, they sure would’ve helped me back when I was starting out. Always good to hear from you man, hope all is well!
I don’t put any kind of tape on my drum kit. I like my drum open tones with cs black dots or clear pinstripes and the bass drum a felt on the kicker side. I prefer a big sound.
@@ccdrums1290 someone should write a book on drummers and thair drum kit.for instance John densmore what ever happened to his mod orange drum kit.and other kits from the 60’s 70’s and 80’s.🥁
When friends visit I insist they bang around on my kit so I can hear it from the only prospective that matters: the audience in front of the drums. NOT all that racket behind them.
@@ccdrums1290 Right! When you hear an infuriating snare buzz sitting behind your drums you can rest assured you're the only person in the room that hears it.
I don't muffle at all. The resonance pleases me. If the sound engineer wishes to have a shorter decay they can gate them accordingly. No need for sticky junk or tape making your heads a mess. Simple physics, drum heads vibrate and make amplified noise through the cylindrical chamber we call a drum. Pillows are for sleeping, leave them on the bed. You wouldn't jamb a pillow into an acoustic guitar would you? All tone and volume would be lost because you are destroying the physics of an acoustic instrument. Same thing if you put moon gels on guitar strings. Rediculous right. What's next? How about some packing peanuts in the trombone and a bunch of self adhesive foam on the bell?😢 Rant over.
