The Thomas Pridgen one is still my all time favorite Zildjian Live. His playing on it reminds me so much of a modern Elvin Jones. Playing beyond technique and truly speaking on the kit. Its so cool. Also would love some of those prototype Zildjians Aaron is playing in this video, they sound incredible!!!!

I initially discovered Aaron Spears 8-9 years ago on RU-vid. I believe it was a drum off video with 2 or 3 other VERY talented players I saw. My mind exploded that day. Such an amazing talented drummer I truly admire. His chops are out of this world. I had the pleasure of meeting Aaron Spears while he was on tour with Usher in 2015, at a drum-clinic, that was setup a couple of days prior to the concert. He's such a warmhearted and kind person. I ended up buying the exact snare he was playing at the clinic, from the drumstore that collaborated with his clinic that day. I'm still the proud owner of that snare, and will probably never part with! Aaron Spears is an absolute legend.

14:32 I'm not sure if you've checked him out by now, but that's "babyboydrummer" Justin Wilson. I'm pretty sure he hangs with these folks a lot and gets mentored in a way by larnell and peeps 👌 their whole family is awesome

Aaron hat no chewing gum, so he was only at 25%. Usually he chews at 7/15 to keep it all together :)

At 10:22 that is basically a classic gospel song by Walter Hawkins called “I’m Going Away” Aaron has gospel roots and most gospel musicians know this jam, it’s a fun song to jam to, even add some cool chops in there. This song would be played basically during the “offering” portion of the service

Man if you like the Zildjian live setup you gotta check out what came before it, Vic Firth Jams aka VFJams. They featured tons of great drummers including Guiliana, Sput, Eric Harland, Garstka, Benny Greb, and many others and the band playing the sessions is mostly the same as the Zildjian live one.
