Matt Greiner is the Drummer for the band Augustburnsred, Matt and Adams bands toured together and are both very similar in music styles. Adam is now Matt Greiners drum Tech. The Drum kit came from project Matt and a friend of his started but quickly stopped production a few years later. i don't think there's many of those drum kits out there
Matt Greiner is an awesome drummer. The zildjian live video is brilliant and his drum playthroughs of his band August burns red are very well produced. 👍🏻
I'm definitely honored to be a holder of a greiner Kilmer 13x7 snare in maple. All stave shell of course. I do however regret not buy a full kit back then. Such a great sounding drum
Adam Gray is a phenomenal and very underrated talent. The dude can play anything and his creativity in a genre whose drummers are so often on autopilot, really stands out. I don't play metal, but the guy has absolutely influenced how I approach heavy sections of music.
Adam has been a huge inspiration for me growing up. Hands down my favorite drummer in the metal scene at the time. I would highly recommend reviewing his live footage of Sweetest Poison and Bloodwork. They showcase how fluid and clean he is on the kit
Like your good self Andrew , this is not my particular taste bit I thoroughly respect all the musicians in this genre.. Somehow this sounds "clearer" to me . Like the mix on the kit is more open . I think it adds some sparkle to the performance and makes it easier to hear the individual beats.. I tend to get a bit lost in other drummers of this genre (with all due resoect) it gets a bit hard to hear the feel .. Any how, my single stroke roll has definately increased by 20 bpm ! I'm now at 20 bpm! 😲 Peace and love brother 👍🏻☮❤
Love your videos. Sorry for not subscribing. It is about RU-vid experience, not your channel or videos. Subscription makes RU-vid experience so much annoying. Especially if you are posting every day. I believe many people out of that over 90% might have the same issue.
you should do a reaction for Hector from As Blood Runs Black. As Blood Runs Black - "My Fears Have Become Phobias" There's a bit of controversy with the fast double bass kicks at the end of the song as there was a lot of speculation if Hector was doing it legitimately or using triggers.
Adam and Matt greiner might aswell be the same person. Identical drum and cymbal setup Identical style of playing Identical music Identical head bobbing Look quite identical Adam just swings the sticks a bit harder 😁
I’ve always found it funny how, like you said, they’re identical in almost every way and yet so different🤣 but maybe it has to do with me being a fan of both for quite some time

I'm not a drummer, was a smal vocalist back in the day, and had the pleasure of seeing Adam play live, and my god this man during Hook Line and Sinner, just stole the show, absolutely incredible to see.
Remember the days when Teeshirts said "play something the drummer knows" ?? ... Those days are so far behind us now. Drummers used to sit right at the back, and be paid virtually zero attention, again those days are gone. I just love music for it's "turn arounds". Everything revolves and comes into it's own . Watching Adam....I find myself holding my breath alot, so technical yet transitions so smoothly. Texas In July's "Magnolia" is another to check out by Adam
You should see him juggle three sticks play in the high hat and the snare he actually got on Jay Leno show doing it and of course he was wearing cut off jeans and a V-neck
Being able to achieve fluid motions of throwing something and catching it while maintaining beat during pretty complex sections etc is something I would consider to be another layer of skill. I'm all for them👍🏼. If they could they'd probably be trying it with their feet
Personally I think adam gray emulates matt greiner far too much as I've observed over the years while watching ABR and Texas in july, style, posture and set up pretty much the same? decent sticksman tho
