Rest In Peace, Garey. I always enjoyed watching your videos, especially your reactions to various drummers. Your passion and enthusiasm was very contagious. I would always chuckle when you would pound on your chest in perfect time to demonstrate a particular technique. 😊 I could just tell that you had a kind and gentle soul. Prayers to your family and friends, you will be greatly missed. 🙏

I believe this Neil was at Irvine Meadows. Sadly, long gone too. I worked there in the background for six or so years. Saw Rush there. The night before their last show at the Forum. My last Rush show at my last Irvine Meadows show. July 2015. Off, talk about memories. Thanks. For the tears and the fun.

In 1987 Modern Drummer magazine published an article from Neil about selecting a new kit (that you referenced), and also included a plastic 45 with a solo called pieces of eight. It's on youtube, and alot of his later solos incorporated parts of that 1987 solo.

Hi Garey. Love all you do to support the drumming community. I especially enjoy your reaction/analysis videos. Any chance you can expand the size of the window of the featured drummer? Maybe swap the images of the drummer with your image as the narrator? Your commentary is fabulous, but it would be great to have better close ups of the drummer you are featuring. Keep up the great work. PC

The great thing about Neil is was never to above himself not to seek out others to learn more from , Freddy Grubber , and As you said Peter Erskine , when going to Africa he sought out different styles , great to know you are from Seattle , I grew up in. Victoria BC and saw Rush in the late 1970s , Neil’s drum tech also worked with Steve Smith , And his Last drum kit was given to DW drums they have it set up as a shrine it’s on you tube, A local Seattle drummer to take note of is Jim Killpatrick a pipe band drummer of world class , Who has contacts with a couple of Vancouver BC well known pipe band drummers and educators John Fisher and Reid Maxwell

Please react to another Matt Garstka video. You’ve only scratched the surface with him. There are many great drum play through videos with him on RU-vid, and I’d recommend Ectogenesis, Monomyth or Cognitive Contortions. Love the channel!

You should check out Mick Tucker of The Sweet. You can see possibly his best solo in "The Man with the Golden Arm" video.

Good content but you have a serious problem with your camera. It looks like a 15 years goPro camera with 5 frames / second. The previous video with Vinnie C is unwatchable and inaudible too. You really need to fix it given the quality of your analysis.
