A detailed description of the pain-staking process used to record drum tracks for these songs: • 424 Portastudio • 424 Shorts 1998 audio... recorded as a single take.
Loved working like this back in my younger years; taking my first tentative steps into recording. It's easy to view it now as antiquated but I guarantee it made you a better musician, songwriter and engineer. It's funny because I find myself reverting back to this way of recording, of course with the conveniences of modern equipment, and preferring the time and thinking that needs to go into each new recording. Bravo!
Nicely said... and no doubt it made me better! I also became better at figuring things out for myself. Back then, there was no RU-vid, there were no online boards. When you encountered an obstacle, you referred to manuals, talked to folks who knew more than you did, experimented & figured out a solution. Appreciate your comment 👍
Hehe! Absolutely... As much as I'm misty eyed for the 'good old days..' (whatever that means?! 🤣) you can't beat a DAW and all it's conveniences. @@20YearsofTascam-rc1he
