This is a lose-lose situation for Elliot. If he wins, it's not very impressive because he beat a bunch of drunks. If he loses... he lost to a fucking drunk.
I'm reminded of Gabriel Iglasias Joke about being drunk. "Some of you can handle Alcohol, you know who you are. Some of you can't....you have no clue."
Lol Matt was bragging about not being drunk the whole time. Now He's totally ruined. Poor guy, I think this was a sobering experience. Also damn Elliot you got trashed by a bunch of guys who were Smashed!
Holy shit guys. Mario Party 5, Superman 64, AND Project M? And all drunk on top of that? Talk about true dedication! That said, this is my first experience watching Project M.
This has literally made my week. My week will not reach a higher point than this. Thanks a bunch for this vid gents! Oh random aside, 3.0 is slightly outdated. It's currently up to version 3.02 which patches a few glitches here and there (such as that Roy Final Smash glitch you guys experienced in the 2nd match) as well as a sexy new launcher.
I don't mind Project M for removing tripping and generally speeding up Brawl so characters aren't as floaty, my main gripe with it is that, in a way, it shows how some people refuse to acknowledge that maybe some of the things in Melee like wavedashing and whatnot weren't as great as they'd like to think. Super Smash Bros. was intended to be easy for anyone to get in, and Sakurai himself didn't like how Melee's physics unintentionally gave the game a really high bar of entry if you wanted to be competitive.
You know, I'm going to rip off Clement and ask for Drunk Super Meat Boy, every time someone dies they take a drink and pass the controller to the next person
Morning: Oh hey look, a Drunk SGB Play! Afternoon: Oh hey look, another one and it's on...Superman 64? XD Evening: Oh hey look, ANOTHER one and it's on Project M :D Best St. Patricks Day ever. :) Just...hang in there, k?
Sorry for the Multipost, but the reason why Dr.Mario didn't die right away was because Exdeath wanted a check up and forced Mario into the Void for a While.
OK, this confirms it, I'm going to HATE this mod if I ever play it. Everyone is the EXACT SAME SPEED. That means whoever has the better move-set will ALWAYS win if your sober and have items off. Project M doesn't look fun.
To avoid that they changed the characters movesets, some attacks have been removed or polished to make the game fair. For example, meta knight isn't broken anymore
Steven DiSalvo In other words; they nerfed metaknight so damn much that there's no point in using him. In other hands, Link went from nothing to broken.
Basically, no one is faster or slower than the others which steamrolls the fun of playing as "the fastest thing alive" Sonic or Brawl version Ganondorf. Yes, I said it. I like slow Ganon because he isn't a Captain Falcon clone in Brawl.
This is a great mod...if you get past the several glitches. Hopefully, Nintendo takes note of SSB:PM and builds on it for SSB4. I mean this mod has ACTUAL alternate costumes, more balanced characters, and all the stages from the series. If Nintendo followed this formula (and added a interesting story not like Subspace Emissary), I bet SSB4 would be not only the best Super Smash Bros game, but also one of the best fighting games overall. Also, I agree that Project M stands for Mark as he had the most wins in this episode, despite being drunk. ;P
Actually, Sakurai just took note of the previous entry, Brawl, and he is making SSB4 from the scratch (Brawl was made using Melee coding as base) since the game will have a handheld version that links with the console version. Quite honestly, I HATED Project M! It's like people trying to transform Smash Bros, into something I don't like and destroying Brawl in the process, since Brawl is widely rejected in the competitive scene. Maybe I just hated PM because I like Brawl so much, I'm fine with this structure, why should I bother in fixing something that's not broken?
so that's what roy's final smash was designed as. he really was replaced by ike.(getting a combo based off ike's while on the ground and creating a fire pillar in the end instead of ike moving his opponents into the air with a combo then slamming the targets exploding)
1) If you're saying that as if we dug out Roy from the depths of Brawl's files or something I'm afraid that's not how it works. Roy and Mewtwo had to be remade from scratch. We couldn't directly import them from either game. As a result Roy's FS is custom and it being similar to Ike's is more a choice of mine. 2) Roy's FS has been changed since this update.
i see. but it is literally what i see. they described mewtwo's final smash as a larger version of lucario's final smash. i look at roy's final smash in the video and it literally looks like a more grounded version of ike's final smash even by the animation.
BlackDeathBlade Well, the team didn't spend much time on their Final Smashes because the main reason the game was created in the first place was to be a competitive game like Melee, and in Brawl tournaments, items are off so they didn't spend all that much time on thinking up some crazy, hard-to-program-and-implement idea they would have to make from scratch. So, yeah, they admit that they just ripped off the animations and sequences from Ike and Lucario for the sake of getting them done and putting the characters out there.
When they played on Shadow Moses island(around 13 minutes), I herd the MSX2 Metal Gear 2 theme. BTW, you guys should do this again, but with Smash 4 with Elliot drunk too.
Wolf: Panther, I need a pickup. Panther: What's your location? Wolf: Space, around Donkey Kong World. Panther: How'd you get there?! Wolf: Leon put too much fuel in the Landmaster. Either that or I'm freaking out from all those drinks. I feel like Matt is racist/sexist to just about everything, first women, then dekus, then chaos, next Elliot, then Ryu, then The Michelin Man, then the world.
Also seeing how its the 2.0 I think Roy's final smash would stop people no matter what but that also meant if you were in mid air you would slowly drift away
Ricardo Esparza I know right. I love competitive brawl more... But if I'm gonna play melee. I'll play the definitive. And not just for competitive reasons. PM has no regard for casual players. All the stages are bland and boring. They removed many hazards that are not even that annoying. Stages were butcher tremendously, and everyone is balanced it's boring. Now that would be a good thing, but unbalanced means more of a challenge to over come. And who doesn't like a challenge?
Ricardo Esparza Random information, it you delete the respective stage and module files from the SD Card, the Stages return to their Brawl counterparts. I myself did this to get back the original Norfair, Wario Ware and Spear Pillar.
I guess it's not fair to say he hates it for 'silly reasons'. It's all opinion really. I'm in love with Project M mainly because it has the content of Brawl, with the fast paced, gameplay of Melee, while still maintaining the Brawl type feel to it. That and you can also change music tracks, since it's a Brawl hack. TL;DR It's not for everyone, but I love it.
