Not for me, sadly. It destroyed my face. I already had itchy tiny bumps. I was stubborn with its use 4x a week as a wash in the night. Face kept flaking and giant zits and redness and dryness. I tried less like 2x a week but the only thing that made it better was not using it anymore and switching to Head and Shoulders Selenium Sulfide aloe for my scalp and Head and Shoulders zinc classic on my face instead. They also got rid of my scalp dermatitis. After a month, my face is glowing and texture is way down. I’m not sure why my skin hated it so much!
Could be! My parents have it. Using the other dandruff shampoos helped me clear it up though. I was already using azaelic acid and niacinmide but my skin only got better when I switched out the Nizrol and only use Head n Shoulders zinc and a small amount of Olay sensitive skin wash with peach slices snail rescue lotion. Years of pain and redness gone. :)
I suffered from seb derm for 15 years without knowing what it was. Who else was taught they just had "combination skin"? After using Selsun gold on my face for a while I seem to have finally conquered it. My question is do I need to incorporate the antidandruff shampoo into my routine somehow or just use when needed? Is seb derm likely to just come right back if I can't get my oil / sebum under control?
Doc, can you use 1-2% selenium sulfide as a ketoconazole substitute? Ketoconazole shampoos are a lot harder to find in my country, they must be prescribed here.
I have white gunk coming out of my nose. It looks like the pores are just clogged, and sulfur cleanser helps somewhat, but it only reduces it, it doesn't get rid of it. Any tips? Also, I love your videos :)
Thank you doc for this tip. Could you share some products drugstore specifically for ultra dry parched skin in dry dry weather which also doesn't cause breakouts? Or closed comedone?
No fragrance version? I have sensitive dry flaky eczema prone skin. I have these same problems areas. Scalp, around ears, nose, eyebrows and eyelids but I need to stay away from fragrance products. Any Anti fungal product suggestion without fragrance?
What about a brea shampoo? For the moment that's the only thing that can alleviate my itchiness and dandruff... Does it have to be only a ketoconazole shampoo?
I have a prescription for ketoconazole and was told to use T/sal twice a day to help it. Is ketoconazole shampoo better then T/sal? Also, why do i get weird flair ups sometimes?
Thank you! I don’t have these types of flakes, but I started retinol and broke out a bit. My skin was super soft but I noticed pimples for the first time in years. I cleansed, applied the retinol and then a facial oil moisturizer as I have dry skin. I noticed pimples and a dry patch on my cheek. What did I do incorrectly?
You would probably benefit from checking her longer clips where she talks about a specific topic. There are a few on how to layer and retinoids. I hope that’ll help you 🙂👍🏼
If u have hirtuism onthe face neck and gtn laser each month can u use it still cuz seems help slightly with follicultis cuz u said can help eyebrows grow and i was worried wld make face neck hirtusim worse
Uh. As a fungal acne sufferer this has me worried. EU bans harmful things that the US allows in our food and daily necessities. Is ketoconazole banned across the pond? Makes me think y’all know something we don’t as usual 😮💨🥲😖
Im in Germany and we have ketoconazole in the standard 2% in the shampoos from Nizoral, Ketozolin, Terzolin and many others. I preffer them for the scalp tho and use the small creams for the face and body. The creams are also perfume free. There is no ban here, we can buy them online too, maybe you can order it from your country. Amazon sells them too here. Also Romania doesnt have a ban, a friend just bought the cream there too.
