There’s nothing quite like it when the lake starts boiling with trout in them twilight hours and the gnat go out 👌🔥 probably the best way to get a trout 🎣

Thanks Richie, I actually don’t do much but I’m going to try get a video done soon, we used to get big bream down here, haven’t seen them in years, going to try meet you with a few course lads and catch a few for a video soon . 😁👌

Sound Paul I hope to start doing a bit soon, just putting in the hours at the minute sorting out spots and techniques. I’d like to have the bigger aluminium boat before I start, hopefully down the line . 👌

The bigger boat wont be good for fly fishing though - theres already loads of pike guides on the lake. @@senanstanleyfishing

Will always have a lake boat for the fly fishing in May 👌 , the lake is big enough for more guides , nobody owns it and everyone has the right to guide on it. 🎣👌 huge demand already for it, have started doing trips on weekends now.

@@senanstanleyfishing i was out last 3 evenings pike fishing..about 8hrs in total,trolling..no luck at all..dont know where I'm going wrong .

Concentrate on the 2/3 meter bays bud, the roach are moving in to spawn at the moment and the pike will follow them in there 👍 stick at it, you will find a little hotspot soon 👌💪🎣

Yeah try to find some grassy bottoms with weeds the roach will be going in and the pike won’t be far behind 💪

Great video senan really enjoyed it I'm from Tipperary and I never fished the spent gnat on Lough derg or never trout fished Lough derg at all I keep hearing the trout fishing is so bad there no point fishing it is that true I'm going heading up there this Sunday for some camping and shore fishing is there anywhere you'd recommend and I'd definitely look into renting your brothers boat in the future thanks senan

Hi Shane Ya in all honestly the fly fishing on lough Derg is brutal compared to the likes of Corrib Sheelin Ree or Mask, but it’s still good fun trying. Shore fishing is always difficult as the popular spots get hammered by people when the weather is good, the boat is definitely the best shot for covering water. ☺️👌 thanks for watching bud
