Hi, Yes Whiskey/Brandy/Port Wine can be added along with Dark Rum, though add Rum in more qty than the other alcohol. Eg, Use 3/4 Cup Rum and 1/4 Cup Whiskey.
You mean the dry fruits or the grapes? Dry fruits like raisins specially tend to have some dirt on them so it's better to wash them in a strainer and then dry them on a kitchen tissue. It's totally your wish.
