Here's a question from the DSAT Official Guide: Seismologists Kaiqing Yuan and Barbara Romanowicz have proposed that the magma fueling Iceland's more than 30 active volcano systems emerges from deep within the Earth. The great depths involved, nearly 3000 km, mark Iceland's volcanoes as extreme outliers;----------many of Earth's volcanoes are fed by shallow pockets of magma found less than 15 km below the surface. In the answer choices, there was only 'Indeed' and, as you can see, it was chosen as the correct answer. Here's the explanation provided by the College Board: 'Indeed' is often used to signal that the statement it introduces builds on what's been written or said previously by reaffirming the underlying truth or accuracy of these previous statements. In this sense, 'Indeed' is roughly synonymous with a phrase such as 'in reality' or 'in truth'. There's also another example where the same explanation was provided, and I believe if I'm not mistaken, there was a note that says 'Indeed' and 'in reality' most of the time can be used interchangeably. I'm probably mistaken at this point; nevertheless, I really appreciate that you made a video to explain the difference between them. Thank you!

Ok, I do see that question -- it's also on the Khan Academy website (and I have an explanation of it somewhere in here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wh7hOjawLN8.html). But I couldn't find the part you quoted in their explanation, nor could I find it by searching for that particular string of words on Google. Here is what I found as far as the CB explanation goes: "Choice A is the best answer. The second part of the sentence says that many volcanoes use shallow pockets of magma. This is an elaboration of the same underlying idea from the first part of the sentence, which says that the super deep magma of Icelandic volcanoes’ makes them outliers. “Indeed” is a transition used for elaborating on the same idea, so it fits the context perfectly." And the reason I'm being so detailed about this is that I don't want to contradict the College Board, but I also wouldn't agree with that statement about "Indeed" and "In reality" being used interchangeably most of the time. There might be cases in which they are more or less interchangeable, but this particular example would not be one of them.

@@345tutoring The explanation I quoted is from the official DSAT guide released by the College Board. Anyway, I'm genuinely thankful for fact-checking everything and being so meticulous in teaching us what's correct and what's not. Thanks a lot! Your help means the world to all of us test-takers, including myself.
