Back when cars came out first, whenever they exceeded 20mph, the morons went up in arms. "Everyone will die!" they shouted. So they enforced men walking ahead of cars carrying a warning flag;;; That was idiotic then & it's idiotic now - we have gone back 100 years + in time.
Cheers Baz, always stayed away from these as compared them to the old style auto boxes, I've just bought my first dsg after years of driving manual, we farm these out at work as well but think we'll start doing them
Hi baz, Im due to change clutch and dmf on 2015 xc60 d4 with m66 gearbox.do you have to remove the subframe to drop the box or is there room?ive never done one on xc60 before…seems a ballache
Baz re 20 mph, I recently had to drive in Central London, so much going on, traffic, bikes, pedestrians, box junctions signs it was busy. Keeping to 20 was hard. You found your speed creeping up to 25 - 28 mph, I didn’t want a ticket, had to keep looking down checking speed. I believe 20 Mph is detrimental to overall road safety. If the speed limit had been 30mph you’d easily have kept within the law and more of your observations would be outside the vehicle and not in it.
