Agree. He doesn’t want to learn anything. As soon as he gets to a new area, he starts with the “What do I do? Where do I go? This game is stupid. How was I supposed to know that? The game doesn’t tell me.”
@gregofthelake "I love RPGs man, I love how they have such a well written main story that you can only focus on and never have to 'overthink' your choices!" -should've been DSP
"SHE SHOVED THE CLONE!!??" Oh, you mean the entity you targeted? The entity with the "selected target" marker beneath their feet that you targeted? The entity whose name, health bar, and buffs were shown center top screen where all targeted entities are shown when targeted that you targeted? The entity whose shove trajectory arrows originated from that you targeted? Yeah, she shoved the clone like you told her to.
He's just completely checked out. He's decided the game is too frustrating for his small brain so he's not paying attention and that feeds into "proving" himself right about the game more. That is how in just the span of like a minute it takes him reading chat to realize he landed a hit and then he literally clicks on an illusion to shove it and is surprised that his character shoved the illusion rather than the boss.
@ickyfist he's definitely speed running to end this playrhru so he can say he was right about it not working for his streams. It really pissed him off seeing people on his chat say they were enjoying it
Man, this is gold. He's just so despondent. Doesn't know the game, not interested in learning, actively avoids the information right in front of him, claims percentages "don't mean anything"… I could go on. He won't last long.
You can tell he cannot stand this game and is dying to quit if the dents would let him. The fact he thinks he's hiding his disdain for the game is pretty funny though. Are we also to believe none of the dents told him he is under leveled?
Unbelievable all the money he's made from playing this game already. And the fact that it was donated to him. I would be really pissed if I donated a game to somebody and they acted like this. If he just said "this game is not for me, i'm too stupid for games like this." At least he would have been somewhat honest.
Sorcs have natural proficiency in con and con saves; if you spread your stats right and get the right gear, sorcs can easily become dodge tanks. My sorc in my dnd campaign has 19-24 AC and regularly carries the rest of the squishy party lol
@@Tea_Noire I have learned more about dnd from videos of DSP failing than in a lot of actual dnd focused content. Just goes to show that showing a bad example really can be the best teaching tool.
Easy to understand now in the future. DSP lives in a powerfantasy and thinks that all PC's should be like 80's Arnie. IE. they must be able to run a marathon in seconds, dish out damage at all ranges and bullets are like bubbles to them.
I’m 44, never played a game like this before or any D&D type game or turn based combat before. I love BG3. Took about an hour to figure out. His absolute ineptness and lack of grasp of any of the games mechanics is so satisfying. Piggy is really out of his depth here and it blatantly shows
You know he was one of those kids back in school that constantly died once they left Independence Missouri when playing the Oregon Trail. "Snakebite WHAA??? DUDE how did I die of dysentery!!??. Why did I drown!! ?"
It's a big shame for a guy who claims himself a pro gamer and makes a living just by playing video games all day long is still that trash. His dentheads play better than him and know better than him. Obviously He was born stupider than normal people, but he is still this lazy is unbelievable! Such a lazy regard! 😂
Dude, he's so bad. I got crushed at this fight, too and then tried it again and whooped them. I just cant understand how someone is so helpless that he can't even look up the status effects... you'd think that'd be a priority because he complains about being at a disadvantage so much.
The best part about Phil shoving the clone is that he actually targeted the CLONE. He’s just too stupid or being deliberately obtuse just to trash the game. A lot of the things he complains about are just intuitive. I didn’t have these issues my first time playing blind.
He's a brainless parasite, which is still an unfair comparison because actual parasites can comprehend what is in front of them and know what they are targeting.
See this issue is his logic doesn’t work the same way it does for you and I. Phil likes to use the logic of “game bad I should win” and gets mad when stupid shit turns out stupid. Shoving the clone, getting pissed as hell he missed fire bolt and it didn’t light the grease, dying to gales safeguard because he instantly exited turn based mode as the game was giving him the tutorial.
Phil loves to rush a game and then complain it's the games fault he's losing when he's underleveled. And it's worse in a DnD game where the max level is only 20 (and even less in BG3 where it's 12). So a single level is a huge difference in power and abilities.
@@symbioticspiderman4the only way I believe you can do that is do certain encounters before others. For instance, fighting the fake Tyr followers right now would be suicide. But fighting the hyena things, goblins here and there and such could level him up. These harpies are also considered easy but he doesn't learn. He's an idiot
he's not really underleveled, just stupid. I did this fight shortly after arriving at the grove and beat it on tactician. and I am pretty bad at the game.
The game has too many facters and is way too complex for no reason.... uh no not really any numbskull csn know how basic logic works. I picked up on alot of things near instantly or if you just read the tooltip. Try walking in deep swamp water while suited in armor see if you can run in that omao
"I would hate to play this game by myself" As the roach sits there by himself wearing a stupid Christmas hat talking to faceless names on a screen like they are real friends.
*Wallets. He doesn't consider them to be friends, anyone who says they see Phil as a friend he says "You shouldn't say that, because I am not your friend!"
"she shoved her own clone" had reticle on her clone and not the harpy but its the games fault. man this is entertaining as hell. phil not paying attention when he had the reticle over his clone image and not the harpy
40 minute fight: 10 minutes fighting. 8 minutes randomly looking at actions that he obviously knew nothing about. 3 minutes denying he targeted the clone. 19 minutes outright whining. That was difficult to watch.
I assume chat is 100% playing the game for Phil. His little pea brain starts smoking as the gears grind to a halt. "So... I really don't know what else to do." Upon stating the obvious he becomes silently immersed in reading the chat. After about 45 seconds of this thrilling content he suddenly has a plan. What an amazing playthrough!
A lot of people are saying it’s because he isn’t smart (and I don’t completely disagree). I think it’s more so he made his mind up about it long ago and just refuses to put even the slightest bit of effort into figuring it out.
Meaningful. Content people what’s the meaning in it well that’s for you to figure out also phill maybe it’s because you choose to play this game when many of you fans wanted you to play it noted to listen and o fans to play a game I don’t want to
Does he not realize that Clerics can heal? Seems like he's using his Cleric as a melee fighter. Edit: Never mind. He was using his wizard as a melee fighter too. He's just an idiot.
“Why am I even playing?” Er, I don’t know phill, maybe because you took hundreds of dollars from your dents to do so…..complete conman, he’s gonna wage quit this soon
As short as the this is how you don't play will end up I think it will be one of the greats, these games perfectly show Phil's inability and outright refusal to actually learn a game deeper than press this button to move and this one to hit and if that doesn't work or he needs to think, he cries and stares at chat for hand-holding.
You get to buy the game for Phil, pay him to play it, tell him every single move to do, let him berate you, can’t talk about anything but Phil for hours, have to monitor his chat to ban people, and get called “an immature child.” When any type of heterosexual sex scene comes on, and you get to be bored to death watching Phil take 15 minutes to do stuff that should take 30 seconds, you get to hear Phil complain about the game, you get to hear him mock the game because he hates that it won game of the year, you get Phil to condescendingly demand you explain why he should enjoy this game, get to hear Phil says he hates the game period, have to explain what percentages are to Phil because he doesn’t understand 3rd grade level mathematics concepts, you get to hear his typical begs, watch him say “HUH?” And “I didn’t do anything wrong! This game is broken!”, 42 year old man toddler temper tantrum, listen to Phil demand more buy in, demand that chat stops having fun, get to hear Phil’s fake high pitched laugh, deal with Phil being a moron, get to hear Phil act like playing the game is super hard work and not fun, get to watch Phil make nonstop mistake and blame the game for being a bad game, “Wow!! What a great game…I’m really having fun now!”, get to hear Phil be smug about how he was right and the game sucks and isn’t even close to game of the year, Phil’s refusal to learn or be challenged, Phil’s lies, etc. This was just from a 15 minute segment of Phil’s play through. I hope at least one dent wakes up due to this.
WOW imagine not having fun when you dont read anything, constantly ask for your hand to be held, and go into the game ALREADY hating it. I cant IMAGINE why he wouldnt be enjoying the game
He doesn't have time to play games properly, playing games is a hobby for kids, he's way too busy playing games. He has to play the games, no time to waste playing games. S N O R T
Yep, he’s right around where you should be though many will find it easier with 1-2 more levels, even under level there’s way to beat the fight but your strategy and resources has to be on point. Which is a foreign concept to Phil, he expects to just win by hitting the enemy once
he's just under prepared lol, no spell slots on 2 characters is a pretty clear indicator you should long rest. it's not like there's a time limit on saving mirkon
ANYTHING goes wrong or isn't easy and Phil is Edgelord syde Phil, HOW IS THIS CHILL AND RELAXING? I get anxiety hearing him complain and complain, the dents probably pay him to shut up
I've never played a baldur's gate game before this and I loved every minute of this game and found it pretty easy to pick up. I don't understand why he's having such a hard time.
Doing my Paladin 2nd playtjrough and discovered new and awesome things. And i am not even a fan of DnD/Fantasy settings. This gout master is just *that* stupid
@NervousNoodles karmic dice setting stops you from rolling strings of high or low numbers. He turned it off meaning he can now roll strings of 1 if he's unlucky enough
@@SamPspire Lol. Let me guess - there's an explanation somewhere in the game of how it works but he never bothered to read it or experiment with how it works?
I wanna give him the benefit of the doubt for never touching any d&d system but man the difficulty curve of picking a spellcasting class vs martial class has always been a crossover midgame. Also yeah, if you leave a fight youre enaged with to go do something else youre going to get swung at regardless what you do.
Now I want to se him playing TT D&D with an actual DM and fellow players sitting around a table. He'd be the worst of the unfair tyrants as a DM, that's obvious, but I'm intrigued about how many tantrums can he throw playing a character.
@@gregofthelake It would all be passive aggressive whining about everything being unfair and the game cheating, so as not to start an in-person confrontation with someone.
@@andrewdelaerranz9648 screw REAL friends this dude could go to a local hobby shop and find several strangers to play with. all he would have to do is NOT be a complete asshole for the duration.
I love how he manages to blatantly ignore every situational piece of information. Then he follows it up saying he needs to know every single detail before starting the tutorial. I can shove her, oh I can shove her *hovering illusory clone quite blatantly* gets pissed as hell because he mindlessly clicked while looking at chat. Try’s to think for himself for once without asking chat, and he fucks it up royally.
People who actually play this game: Did Phil not win the fight? Because it looked like he won. It took a long ass time and things looked a little hairy, but he won. Did he like lose a party member or get some penalty for doing badly? Or is he just upset the game didn't let him win automatically?
It's the last one. He's just pissed that not every single solitary attack is a 100% guaranteed hit. He ultimately won the fight, nobody died, people went down, but nobody died. Also bare in mind, he refuses to long rest. So he went into this fight with absolutely no spell slots on either himself or Shadowheart.
One thing this game has is the importance of where your character is on the battlefield. If you’re a range character then the best place is to be on the high ground to give you an advantage. Phil completely ignored that and didn’t bother moving his wizard or rogue character away from the enemies. So he’s mad because he’s playing the game wrong.
The issue is the fact he expects to know everything immediately at the start of the game. He doesnt realize that if you are not familiar with these types of games, you need to go through a learning process to understand things like concentration, actions and bonus actions, advantages, etc. Of course I dont shit on him for not knowing everything because I too was in that position in my first playthrough. However, the issue is that he lacks common sense and didnt do anything that requires actual strategy. If he had done this on tactician difficulty, he would have gotten wiped for sure. This can be done at level 3, but like the other dude said, you need long rest to replenish everyone's spell slots (at least know when to use it) and have proper resource economics (meaning knowing when to use resources and limit them per encounter to reduce the need of long rests). He probably burned through Shadowheart's entire resources on a small encounter.
@@JoeyCentral I've reset the tutorial bubbles everytime I did the nautiloid ship.. because even after my 1st playthrough I'd missed stuff. This guy will spam through a tutorial message then in the same minute - fail the task the message wanted to help him with and scream about "How the HELL was I meant to know?" There's a reason Phil was used as a case study by game devs quite literally in God of War. If you can make Phil able to comprehend your tutorial; you have successfully idiot-proofed your game. Not all games need that though.
@@BluntTrauma369 The fact that any game has to "idiot-proof" itself is why games today are soulless. They basically want to milk people like Phil because truth is most are like Phil and they want to cater to the masses. The fact this game doesnt do that might be part of the reason why I enjoy it.
Bruh I’m watching this on 2x speed and it still feels like he’s moving and playing too slow…. How does anyone watch the guy live and unedited? Water boarding sounds better.
About half an hour before this he FAILED to safe the thiefling in that bugbear thing, yes the one thiefling, the one bugbear assassin, and his inability to play the game on any normal way lead to her being dead. And he had the same issues as here, couldn't hit a thing, don't do damage, etc...
I knew that a boss fight was gonna stump him and make him quit. I didnt think the harpy fight would get him that bad. Its like the jokes write themselves
I went from a Street Fighter 6 video and him complaining to a Baldur's Gate video of him doing the same thing. This is a 40 year old man complaining about children's video games. What a chill and meaningful stream.
Dude is saying the game sucks, isn’t fun, and nothing works, literally a few weeks after it won game of the year while being lauded as a achievement in the advancement of gaming. Priceless.
If he actually spent time to read tooltips he’d grasp it a lot better. I don’t even play dnd and I’m about to start act3 on tactician with only 2 or 3 fights presenting real challenges so far. It also helps a lot to experiment a lot with respecs or other classes.
