Btw he was level 96 when this happened so he definitely wasn’t under leveled at this point. He just thinks his sword is a gun and should always hit regardless of the distance
96, and doing so much damage with each attack, he only needed to hit him like 8 times, I did this with a morning star that was only half levelled, it was hard, I was doing such small damage, but it didn't take this long 😅
How is it that every game has some issue with it's internal core systems when Phil plays? Literally every game. If you walk around smelling dog shit everywhere, maybe it's you.
I think Phills reality is wonky. If the fight is too hard it’s not challenging it’s just buggy and laggy but if the fight is easy it’s because he’s a top 1% gamer dood.
I was thinking the same thing. Phil just so happens to get a million dropped inputs, input lag, and glitches is every single game. No way there's any user error at all.
Seriously, he keeps overestimating the reach of his weapon. You'd think he would realize that after the first couple of times but noooo... Clearly the game's out to get him. 😂
**Has constantly shown us how awful his depth perception is** Gee Phil, I wonder why you've had so many car accidents. Maybe its because you think wearing your legally required glasses is dumb looking like some sort of 80s movie trope?
On his eventual success after 10000 tries, he'll be saying how good of a boss this was and how fun it was to overcome the challenge. I can guarantee he'll say it.
It’s almost a ritual with him at this point. When Fromsoft eventually make another Souls-esque game and he’s raging at it he’s gonna say Elden Ring had fun and fair challenges despite him telling the devs to off themselves from the sheer frustration he has now
Yup. He isn't Dunning-Kruger. He's the opposite - imposter syndrome. A deep, psychological shame of making more than most nurses while being terrible at his job. It manifests in his rage, and blaming the devs for everything is his cope.
@@BenHeckHacks Oh phil is a big old box of psychological trama. People say phil should get an actual job, but he needs to donate himself to science for study.
@@wanicki3575 I've thought that for years. So much of his trolling could've been avoided if he had any humility and could admit he's not the best throughout the years. But the damage is done at this point so even if he did admit it hed still get trolled to hell.
@@BenHeckHacks Wrong. Imposter Syndrome is when you feel like an imposter, even though you're competent. It doesn't apply when you're actually incompetent. Then you're just a basic impostor and it's not a disorder. If you somehow manage to get a job you're unqualified for, it's normal to have anxiety to be uncovered as a fraud. It's not a syndrome.
The only reason he's even still playing it is because it attacks viewers. All whom happen to be haters who clown him but it's more than he usually gets which means an extra few dollars
Phil is a dude that would put a fork in front of his eyes while looking at moon and complain that he cannot stab the moon that is so big, completely bugged moon mechanics
"At any point in time I'm one of the best gamers on the planet" I don't know if he knows that WWE Champions isn't a real game that takes skill and not Others people donations to win.
“Can’t hit him!” As he clearly flies away from Phil in the air. What a genius, definitely got that business degree legit, no doubt about that. Preposterously inept.
I love how he clearly stands too far in front of him, then acts surprised when he inevitably misses. Does Phil have the depth perception of an alcoholic or something?
imagine failing like this with all that health and a weapon art this overpowered on a boss you can simply run way from to lose aggro on but it keeps all the damage you did
@Master Monkey unless you've got a time machine to stop past phil from drinking all that gin i'm pretty sure ship has sailed on him having the reflexes to dodge these gargoyle patterns
every time the sword "misses for no reason" it's really because he's way too far away... bugged depth perception mechanics i guess... nothin' he could do 😞
I predict he will rage quit on melenia. He will refuse to use summons because he will see it as "cheating" and he knows rage = views. He will continue to attempt and struggle against her as long as people give him $$$
I absolutely love the salty excuses he gives when he dies in this game. “Give me a game with responsive controls and hit boxes and I’ll beat him first try”
Bro he played mgrr and said the same shit , that game is the definition of responsive and polished , hit boxes are perfect , if your sword actually touches it cuts
"The boss is not tough" Unable to beat him for over 2+ hours. Once again Dave was unlucky enough to buy the only copy of the game that is completely riddled with bugs, drops inputs, massive lags, etc etc the usual excuses. Even when he buys digital he still gets the 1 bugged copy of the game. Nobody else in the world has these complaints but of course Dave is special.
his bosses get all the super armor and Phil gets controllers that don't work, ever. Unless they do, then he gloats. Like a little teen punk who runs up to a guy vomiting blood and clonks him on the head with a sissy punch before running away in fear, declaring victory.
I can't say anything cause I've said the same thing but the context is different cause I acknowledge I messed up and that's why I lost. So for me it's more like "The boss is not tough, I just failed to react to the pattern"
I love how he switched weapons thinking he was going to special attack it to death. You can tell he wants that Night Sword, but it got nerfed and he knows it. On his previous fight with this guy he mentioned how the cheese ledge tactic was even nerfed. Dude is losing his mind knowing he can't easy cheese a boss with Jump, Stab or glitching it off ledges. Again, dying to this boss doesn't make him bad or a terrible person, it's the fact he's looked up guides, glitches, and OP weapons and still blames the game for his deaths.
AND he denies using the guide. Like, I used a guide to look up Dungeons that I knew I would miss normally, cause I didn't want to miss out on stuff. He looks up guides for AT LEAST where the bosses and OP weapons are and denies it. Also, I guarantee he's going to use the Blasphemous Blade after he beats Rykard, it's a Faith Quality weapon with an extremely braindead L2.
It's so baffling to me because if he didn't deny using guides then I wouldn't mind. Hell, I use guides specifically because I want to fight every (unique) boss in all of From Soft's games. But him denying it so vehemently when he clearly shows he has prior knowledge is absurd and laughable.
@@Maximus7th The thing is we look up guides to make sure we don't miss anything, he looks up guides to figure out how to trivialize everything. It's DS2 Lightning Spears all over again.
He can't even pretend to like the game despite the views and money he gets from it. He throws tantrums constantly and makes every game he touches rot. He is the reverse King Midas.
he does this with EVERY Fromsoft game: "The game doesn't work, the design is terrible, hitboxes are bad, mechanics are bad, this game is terribly made" When Fromsoft games are some of the most detailed and consistent out there. I'm not gonna act like they're perfect, they have their fair share of glitches, oversights, lack of polish in some areas, etc. but they do a great job at making things as consistent as possible. Even if I'm dying a lot to a particular boss, I can see what went wrong very clearly in 90% of situations, and how I can learn from it
The King of Gout is the only player I’ve seen lose many times to a boss and always blame the game. Like every failure in your life Dave it’s never your fault is it?
He thinks he's utterly invincible for 10 seconds or something, like he can just roll into its legs and surprise him with ninja skills. Sometimes its ok to roll towards (not into) an enemy. Clearly, its not exactly pro strats to roll into a giant boss. He refuses to learn the fight and attack when its most opportune. He tries constantly rolling after it like a boulder and swinging way too early since its not getting him close enough. He still doesn't understand you aren't supposed to move around by rolling, but he freaks out and rolls his stamina away.
None of his dodges are delayed until he gets hit, so which is it: 1. He mistimed and dodged too late and got hit 2. The game is programed to know exactly when phil gets flustered and intentionally disables his dodge to make him look bad
The entire game was created and coded with the sole purpose of letting anyone who plays it eventually win, without even trying - because they are lazy and not vets. Everyone except Vet Phil, who gets all the unfair, over the top boss fights powered by Google AI to constantly adapt to a pigroach and his 170iq 4d chess strats.
He would miss less if he used an actual weapon that isn't slow as a turtle. Str weapons are objectively worse than dex weapons because of how aggressive bosses are in elden ring. I'm honestly surprised he isn't doing a bleed build.
@@DarksydePhilip This is so true, I finished the game using colassal weapons and it was a chore. I just started a new game using fast weapons and its so enjoyable.
@@DarksydePhilip Nah STR weapons are good its just you really have to time your attacks if you don't want to trade damage. I dual wield standard greatswords, and they stagger everything besides colossal bosses
im genuinely convinded that dsp is the single greatest actor on the planet. Because I do not want to believe that the planet could actually conceive such an individual to exist on itself.
11:50 "Half the time when I do something the game doesn't do it" It's true, he hit the "Win" button on his first try and it only registered after hundreds and hundreds of attempts.
Absolute love this. Coming from the guy saying that he loves a challenge and getting over that hurdle but once he’s in front of it, just has to make excuses and blame the hurdle
he said the same thing about the controls and hitboxes in metal gear rising, the definition of perfection in how responsive the controls are and how clean the hitboxes are
It's wild how the entire gaming community is absolutely LOVING Elden Ring. But here's Phil, always crying about something. Every game is shit to Phil, the master programmer. lmaooooo
Ikr? Lol Can you imagine that complete idiot has a gaming journalist and he’s the one reviewing games!? Lol it would be the exact same bullshit complains for every games…ever! Lol
if EVERY game you play makes you rage like THIS, that’s a problem my friend. A problem you need to take up with the person in the mirror. These are supposed to be fun, this is designed as entertainment LOL. If you’re acting like this man-baby while playing “Every game” (your words), you need to chill brah. It’s good that you “Don’t accept” games that don’t cater to all cognitive levels because not all things are meant for all people. It’s a basic fact of life, in fact. Everyone CAN enjoy it, but not everyone WILL enjoy it - due to any number of limitations. It’s life FFS! It’s ok to try something and fail, that’s precisely where character is built. The character that will eventually find success and know real triumph. I’m guessing disabled people cringe HARD every time someone goes on this rant. You want to lower the bar, ruin the product and then feel like a hero when handed that shiny participation certificate. Meanwhile 98.99% of disabled folks want nothing to do with this. They deserve accommodations wherever they can be made, but they don’t want the integrity of the game ruined in the meantime. They’ll deal with it, they always do. They’re incredibly resilient, they don’t need this BS ruining their gameplay too. Do you “not accept” the NBA, because you can’t dunk or shoot 90% from 3 point range? Do you “not accept” musical artists because you can’t sing or play an instrument on a professional level? You get how this thing we call life is subjective, right? 🤯
Oh God, he can't even beat him when cheesing with the black flame spam? If he could only learn to dodge and get the timing right getting hits in is easy. 14:07 If only he had learned the controls so he would know you can actually RUN in the game...
You can tell his criticisms are legitimate by the fact that everyone has the same problems he’s having and nobody has been able to beat these bosses either. He literally can’t learn. Wings is the only person I’ve seen with as little capacity to adapt and learn as him.
„Completely unfair cheap hits“ And even with those he can’t beat him. 😂 It's funny how he uses overpowered weapons without batting an eye but ashes are a step too far.
Yup, has a blast when hes overpowered and cheesing. Game totally fair and balanced whenever hes winning, mechanics are fine and hitboxes totally work too.
Shit is so funny he's using a overpowered weapon and still gets bodied 😂🤟 I beat this boss without using a overpowered weapon he's still tough but it's hilarious seeing him getting bodied!
How is this weapon overpowered in any way? Its a colossal sword which are arguably the worst weapons in the game. I get that the weapon art does good damage but that doesn't make it overpowered. Rivers of Blood, Eleanors Pole, pre nerf sword of night/flame; those are overpowered weapons
How has he been playing the game for so long and still not learned that untimed roll spamming has been deliberately punished? I absolutely suck at Souls games and even I learned that. Margit literally teaches you that and he’s the first proper boss.
He still doesn't understand queued input, which every souls game has and he has played them all. He STILL calls it input lag and never understood how it behaves.
Phil needs to beg for more tips to get his eyes checked. It seems like most of the time when he's whiffing the boss is further away than Phil seems to think.
Dsp : - plays dark souls game but refuses to learn mechanics and frame data- Also dsp: iTs tHe GaMeS fAuLt bRo!! Like bro how do you spend hours and hours on a boss and not learn it's choreography, in THIS game of all games
That high pitched baby rage voice "HE'S RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!" Yes he is Phil but also out of your swords range put some glasses that help with eye sight on your tips goals.
The best part? It is an entirely optional and rather pointless boss as it drops nothing too spectacular. Entirely passive unless you attack it so it isn’t guarding a path to impede your progress or anything.
I wouldn't say that. His two weapon drops are actually quite good if you are a faith/str user. I'm currently melting with the sword he drops. DSP is just trash.
List Of Detractor Bosses so far: Demon's Souls: Armored Spider and Old Monk Dark Souls 1: Capra Demon?? I'm not entirely sure what to put here. Dark Souls 2: Smelter Demon and Looking Glass Knight Bloodborne: Ludwig Dark Souls 3: Pontiff Sulyvahn and Champion Gundyr Sekiro: Guardian Ape Elden Ring: Black Flame Kindred Welcome to the family, Black Flame Kindred.
So he has this really strong black blade build and is unable to hit cause he doesn't know when to try for it? But that's too out of the ordinary for DSP, he's always been in impatient. If he can't cheese or brute force a boss they are trash. According to him, suddenly the devs are idiots, and the game is broken and the boss is stupid. Ya can't go from 'this game is so great, I love it" to "The game is broken, fromsoft fix your game" at your leisure. Looks like a combination of the bosses arched back and him pulling back after the charge to perform a second strike makes him avoid the strike...... and DPS over estimating of the strikes length and his bad depth perception. No.... he straight up is actually falling short alot, he did a jump attack and must be getting confused by the camera angle pointing up, along with the things small legs. He really does think that thing is closer than it apears.
DSP wants the hit boxes to stretch all across the map, se he can stand in one spot, swing, kill everything in the game, and just walk through the elden tree and win
Haha this guy? I avoided him till I was strong enough but he’s not hard. Haha awesome. To follow up he’s way outside of the weapons arc, he needs to get right next to his legs.
I used that magic dust cloud that drains the health. I would run to the door spray the magic cloud dust and run back inside. This guy would spam attack the door. He would then go back and I would rinse and repeat. Beat him quite easily hahah
I will give it to him that the hitboxes are broken. I've fought these things with the claws and have been literally pressed up right against their hit box and whiffing. It's just standard From Software jankiness, though; can't act surprised by it. I'll also give it to him that he's going no shield, no summons, no BHS, a slow weapon and he's not even that overleveled. He's playing this way more legit than 90% of players are, even if he's not exactly crushing it, lol.
Phil's all play and no work life is causing his brain to stall and lag. That or his narcissism has gotten so bad it's altering his perception of reality itself, so he think he hits and its just not registering. Either way; that's not good.
"I can't believe how bad I...this is." - For a second, he almost admitted the problem. Like addiction, the first step is realizing that you have a problem - which he will never do.
"Its not even challenging". So that's why he continues to shove that giant axe and sword straight into you and wrecks your stupid build? This is probably the saltiest he's been in this run. I stand by what I said before, Maliketh is gonna break him.
@@mysite1012 when in reality, you can dodge nearly all malikeths moves by just spam rolling. How long do you think it’ll take him to get past the first phase (beast clergyman)
