I wish you luck sir! I haven't owned this vehicle for several years now. To be honest if I were to do it again, I wouldn't. I would get the largest OH alt I could find and add a lot of batteries.
I still may try a few of the ideas you used just for the simple fact that the rest of my engine set up is the same way including the intake bolts I believe
the reason mine won't work like this is due to the intake. mine faces forward where his faces upwards toward the hood. Unless I do a massive bend in the intake it will never clear in this spot
Literally just wire them directly together. Your system will read both alternators. If you have a fault in one though you'll need to figure out which alternator it is.
wish I could come up with a way to add a 2nd alternator to my 95 bronco 351. I've brainstormed over it so long it gave me a headache. I don't want to take my a/c compressor off like some have done. I've removed the smog pump and put a delete pulley there. I've thought about putting the 2nd alt there or up top like you did but like I said, I can't come up with a solution. Are you located near GA? Maybe if you could look at it you could come up with an idea
How does this work with the lower alternator getting so little belt coverage? honest question mechman said they dont even sell a ho at 390 amps for a stock replacemnt because of the already low belt coverage
