Went to London to apply and this is how it went. Also in the video are the requirements needed and my actual timeline. I got my Oath Taking Ceremony after 2 days.

For your question, your old PH passport was considered void as soon as you got your British citizenship. PH passport application comes right after the dual citizenship Oathtaking ceremony. Hi Jake! Just to share my experience, I’m from Ireland, I messaged the Embassy and they said I could send my application through post and don’t need to send the original, as for the Oath taking, after approval of my application, they will send me a link wherein I can choose the date. For the payment of £46, I only got it from Credit Union here in Ireland as AIB and BOI does not offer such service. I hope this experience can help your subscribers. Thank you.

Hello! Yes po. Once you become British invalid na ang PH passport mo and you can only stay 30 days sa Pinas without needing a visitor visa.

Hello po. You might need to confirm sa embassy pero last ko na alam is mag affidavit of loss ka for the lost passport.

Hello po. Thank you for watching. Latest guideline is walk-in ka kalang sa embassy from 1pm to 4pm po Monday to Friday. Kuya at the door will direct you kung saan pupunta.

Hello po. This one I'm not 100% but I think just the British passport and birth certificate will suffice. Best to message po the Embassy via their Twitter/X or FB messenger. Di sila masyadong sumasagot ng phone call.

Hi nurse jake, Nagapply ako for dual citizenship, as t ngemail na cla to book the oath taking through eventbrite, pero pag check ko namn no appointment til may 10. Is that usual ? Hello po. Depende. Best way na magrereply sila is by Twitter or FB messenger. Do you need your oathtaking sooner than May 10? You can message them sa twitter or fb nila to ask if pwede magjoin sa earlier dates.

Hello Ana. If lost sya, need mag affidavit of loss for the passport and need kumuha ng new copy ng birth certificate. This can all be done at the embassy.

Hi there. This is actually an old NSO birth certificate. The same one I used back in college. Next, once you have your oath taking ceremony for British citizenship, you will be given the certificate of naturalisation right after.

Jake you’re a great help. I know you’ve successfully acquired your dual citizenship but may I ask if there are changes since you applied? Have you gotten any updates? Will there be a Q if I arrive late AM? Is Wednesday still the cut off day to be included on Friday oath taking? Is the oath taking held only on Fridays?

@@NethdgB96 There are schedules for Thursday or Friday depending on when they schedule you. No changes thus far. Do try not to be late of course for the oathtaking otherwise you'll have to join another one on a different time or day.

Hi. Do you have a scanned copy at least? It might be considered. Always worth messaging the consul via FB. They are quite considerate. As long as you have the UK passport, I feel it will be fine.

@@expataccountantbackup You can print them if yourself if you have photo paper and printer. Di kailangan na professionally taken na magbayad ka ng £5 or £10. As long as it's the right size and follows the guidelines for a passport photo.

So you need to apply for residency. Then after living there for 10 years, you can apply for citizenship. Good luck!

Hello po. There is no online application. Either walk-in submission or by mail. Eto yung official guidelines: If submitting personally, applicants may walk in between 1:00 to 4:00 PM, Mondays to Fridays, to submit their application. If submitting by mail, include a postal money order (UK residents) or bank draft (Ireland, Isle of Man, Guernsey, and Jersey residents) in the amount of £46.00 for the principal and £23.00 per dependant, if applicable, payable to the Philippine Embassy London. Hi there 👏 I've checked everywhere and it always says apply in the embassy or consulate. So that will be in the foreign country where you are residing. It's probably the easiest as well doing it abroad as there is not much queue and/or red tape in government offices. Hope this helps! Either apply before you go for vacation or when you come back. Hello there. Yes that is correct. Pag oathtaking kana, pwede magapply ng passport agad so bring all docs and need din at that point yung prepaid envelope to deliver your new Philippine passport.

Hi Faye. Thank you for watching and for your appreciation. As per consul, yes invalidated na yun once na British citizen ka. Meron nga lang nakakalusot pa din kasi di ka naman nag reregister sa PH record after oath sa British citizenship. But after Dual citizenship oath taking, you need a new passport po. Hi Maria. Sila na po ang maglalagay kung saan sya dapat. Ibibigay mo lang sa consul staff during application. Do not paste anything po. One of them is for your Dual Citizenship paperwork that you will be taking home after ceremony. And no wala doon for passport. Electronic capture ang passport. Just an update lng po sa mga viewers who wanted to apply the same transaction kc kakagaling ko lng kanina sa Phil embassy . Ang walk-ins for Dual citizenship po is between 1-4pm na since 14 June and inask ako right then and there kung ano date gusto ko mag oath taking. Oath taking takes place sa hapon narin every weekdays except Weds. And bring masks. As I did not realise that wearing a mask still a mandatory inside Phil embassy. Luckily may mabait na couple nag bigay ng spare mask sakin wheew! 🥴 Your video really helped me a lot on what docs to prepare kc prang hindi updated ang website ng Phil embassy for this application. Hi po. After oath-taking you are given the option to apply for a Philippine passport on the same day even without an appointment. Make sure to bring your NSO/PSA birth certificate and British passport. The 3 docs you get post oath will need to be photocopied but they will direct you how and where to do this.

Hello mam. Depende sa availability. Shortest is within the week kaagad ang oath taking. Could be the following week if puno na. Pero hindi naman masyado madami every week nag oath taking so usually makakuha ka daw sched for the same week.

Once na submit mo na requirements by walk in, they will call you to select dates. Sometimes on the spot sila nagtatanong lalo na kung may space pa for that week.

Hi Richard! 👋 It won't be the consulate but yes I believe you can do that. OLD NSO copies are accepted po since they do not change at all. The one I used was from when I was in college na dinala ko sa UK nung umalis ako. Maybe mga 2010 pa yun.

Hello there. When you go to the post office just say special delivery. They will ask you if documents or passport. Just say passport and they will give you the right one. It's the smaller silver plastic envelope.

You mentioned that you booked it before you applied for dual citizenship, so, you already got an appointment. Do you know the right contact number or email for Philippine Embassy in London?

Hi Lor. It was a consideration type of thing cause I was leaving in 3 days. The usual process is do the walk in application. Once submitted and paid, wait for a call when they will schedule your oath taking. This can bee within the week or the following week. I was able to connect successfully via their FB page Philippine Embassy London.

Hi iam6758. No need to book, walk in lang. after submission of documents, they will tell you any available dates for your oath taking. However, you can pay additional £10 for express, so you can have your oath taking the following day, and that’s what we did. You will be fine. Good luck 😉.

Hi thank you for this video, I am waiting for my appointment for the oath-taking, what did you bring po during the day and did you also apply for a Filipino passport straightaway? Please share some details po ng requirements on the day of the oath-taking. Ang passports ko kasi including my British passport is currently in the Passport Office for renewal din sana so takot ako na baka need nila ang passport ko sa embassy? Thank you po!

Hi Diamond! Thank you for watching. For oath-taking day, just any valid government ID. Yes you can apply for a Philippine passport right after the ceremony even without prior appointment. But you will need your NSO/PSA birth certificate + original and photocopy of valid ID + 1 copy each of the 3 documents you get after the oath-taking. You valid ID doesn't have to be a passport since you already presented this for the dual citizenship and they still have a copy of this. You can bring a scanned and printed copy of your current UK passport just in case.

Hi Rio! Do you have scanned copy or photocopy of the details page at least? Pwde yun na eprint mo at esubmit. Hindi nila titingnan ang old Philippine passport. It's more on the British passport to check if genuine. Hindi na tiningnan yung original na old PH passport ko during my application.

Hi Cherry. I did not bring my old PH passport during my dual so for the new passport application, hindi sya nabutasan po. I brought my British passport and they just looked at that.
