Dual WAN Configuration on RV0xx Series Routers 

I have a question when running in conjunction with SG200 switches. I have RV042G router and want to be able to use 2 VLANS to separate company departments but I noticed there was only one DHCP pool, which limits this to one VLAN. How can 2 vlans be managed and to use WAN as backup. Thanks

Hey, i'm confused about the protocol link. If I link RU-vid (for example) to Wan 2. Will that effectively mean that: *ALL traffic is load-balanced until I search for RU-vid, in which case only Wan 2 will be utilized for the RU-vid streaming?

Hi Cisco, I have a question about dual WAN ports . If we connect 4Mbps Lease line to primary WAN and 6Mbps broadband link to secondary that means we are giving total input of 10Mbps and configuring router to Load Balancing(Auto Mode), will router give output of 10Mbps or it will give average i.e 5Mbps. I want this router to handle 40 users. Please let me know is it appropriate router to use with 4Mbps lease line and 6Mbps broadband at a same time for 40 users.

I have this scenario: My cisco RV042G is inside on corporative network and the "Internet Port" has a private IP (not public from ISP), so, I have a little problem. All clients that is connected on this router can't get out to the internet. It is possible this scenario? Or I have to create firewall rules to do that?

Dear friend, We can do smart balance if WAN1 failed auto WAN2 the same concept can we do in VPN connection. If WAN1 failed entire VPN gone untill WAN 1 up. Is there any options or new firmware patch. If anyone know please please please revert on this..

Hi you post was very helpful but i have a list of questions. 1. i am located in philippines and it is to expensive to have a static internet connection in my house. so instead of using static i am using a dynamic isp connection it is possible i use 2 dynamic using a 2 wan routers ? 2. just compose about the option in dual wan load balance if i set my 2 connection to LOAD BALANCE (AUTO) i cannot use the smart link back up? 3. for the protocol i want to set my incoming and outgoing emails to sent and receive by the wan 1 and the wan to use for browsing how i can do it? i am a beginner in networking sorry. thanks alot

Hello there, I recently purchased a second hand RV 082- Router. I’ve downloaded the latest firmware/ software, as of today is June 2015- First I am unable to open the browser to upload to update the firmware ? is updating the software a primary necessity or could I update firmware at a later date. Second I’d like to set up the second router RV082 as a VPN firewall. for the RV082 is always necessary to plug or have two ISP one for the DMZ internet and internet Any assistance at your end would be very helpful.

It's not bad, but what this reviewed by a teacher? What about professional production. The tutorials should be oriented to "what the client wants to achieve". TI professionals (like myself) can read the manuals for the proper jargon. So you start for some scenarios, you describe the names as you advance and the video is produced by some guy that do video. Just my feedback to improve. As I say it's not bad but a lot has to be done. IBM use to have this kind of videos, even the marketing ones. If they move up you can too :)
