This horse also has the blood of Sunday Silence. But more than that, the blood of Dancing Brave draws out a different dimension of performance from him.
Who saw this comment. Pleeeeeease watch Tennou-sho Autumn 2022. He has shown great endurance against the great run of Panthalassa who has won the Dubai Turf and Saudi Arabia Cup in the past.
Sunday Silence→Black Tide(Deep Impact's brother)→Kitasan Black→Equinox I didn't expect the sire line to connect from Black Tide. This run reminds me of his father, Kitasan Black. Great run!👏
Amazing ride from the jockey, didn't touch him with the whip and still Equinox took off at the stretch. Wish they'd kept Equinox for his 5 year old season but he'd already beaten the best of the best both inside Japan and outside.
Never seen such a demonstration of easy superiority in a mega race. Equinox gets better from race to race. Perhaps Japan's best horse ever, better than Deep Impact and Orfevre.
The Japanese seem to be able to train their horses very hard to a high level of fitness on very firm tracks without losing many horses to injury which seems to occur to horses in other countries
@@sakaponch I think that perhaps something is missing in the translation my friend. To restate the essential question that remains given your reply, the question would now be how does the temper of a horse effect its ability to withstand racing and training on such hard surfaces? In other places in the world that sometimes has hard tracks, like my home of Australia, we have some horses that develop shin soreness and some that have to avoid hard tracks altogether. This fact appears to apply evenly to horses of all temperaments. By that I mean that it has never once been suggested ever, anywhere here, that a horse will handle hard tracks because it is bad tempered or highly strung. If it is true that percentage wise your horses stand up to hard tracks better, it seems likely the possible answers would lie in the differing breeding of the horses. And/or the way in which they are trained, conditioned and handled. This is what the original commentator was asking. Do you note any differences in the way that Japanese horses are trained as compared to the rest of the world that would explain the ability to withstand hard tracks?
@@sakaponch I apologise, unfortunately for some reason the Google Translate facility is not available for your replies. If I'm not able to find a way around it when I have time, can I thank you for taking the time and effort to reply anyway. I enjoy watching Japanese racing and find the breeding particularly interesting. We have a number of Japanese bred sires and horses in Australia and other good ones on shuttle like Maurice. Some time ago we even had a few top class Sunday Silence sired horses that have left Group 1 lineage to this day. Congratulations on the Japanese win.
I agree. Long campaign until October. I’m sure the US will be pining for him to run in the Breeders Turf in November. Question will be how much will he have left in the tank by then. Right now looks unbeatable.
Let's hope connections decide to run Equinox in the King George, this race was okay but it always seems a little bit too early in the season for European horses.

@@frankel1487 I wonder if we should tell him. The substance that was found inside Deep Impact's sample during Arc that got him dqed was basically... Paracetamol. Yeah he had travelling sickness the whole way in France. They gave him paracetamol and thought they could get it out of his system before race day. If you wanna count that as doping, yeah sure. :))
