The word most commonly used in English for the shape of the dubbing on the thread is a "noodle". Thanks for the video.

You can even make your own dubbing by hand. I use two dog brushes for that, and I cut small pieces of wool yarn or synthetic yarn to the fiber-length that I want, and then I place the cut pieces on one of the brushes, and with the second brush I scrape against the other one to separate all the fibres of the yarn. It's also an easy way to mix different fibres together.

Indeed a viable option for longer hair natural dubbing’s! It’s rarely necessary for synthetic shorter dubbings :) not in our experience anyway

Daniel I like your explanation of everything you did. the way I mix my dubs is using a small Ziploc and having pressed small air bottle. Put straw into the small bag opening and just blow and it is really mixed well the way you like it. I hope this is also useful for you.

I’ve heard people say that the fly rite dubbing can be difficult to dub onto the thread what are your thoughts I do know that vacunia dub which is made with lama I believe that stuff can drive you nuts if you don’t wet your fingers and really twist the dub to get it to adhere to the thread

Those dubbings meant for dryflies, can be a handfull! Using a dubbing wax as i show i the video, will make a massive difference! Also i use very small quantities of these types of dubbing, at a time!
