I have had this thing for more than a year, haven’t used once cause having issues setting up to use at all. :(. My interfaces are UAD Apollo … such a bummer! is there an issue that I was unaware of?

If you're on Windows then unfortunately we can't detect drivers from UAD interfaces, however you can still use an alternative input in the Dubler 2 app such as a USB microphone that does not use the UAD drivers. You can find a detailed response on which interfaces are compatible here - vochlea.com/faq?id=80 If you're on Mac this is not the case, and so is likely just a configuration issue. Either way please email us at help@vochlea.co.uk and our support team can look into this for you!

Will my Neumann U87 work just as well as a dynamic mic?

Hi - we recommend using a dynamic mic for the best results as the signal is more focussed. Condenser mics will work however they pick up a lot more background noise!

can I use the mic in my macbook as trigger? I cant find any demo downloads

Hello! Internal computer microphones are too sensitive so they will not work well with Dubler 2. We recommend dynamic microphones, like a common SM57 for example. Can it be used with a HDX interface?

Unfortunately as ProTools takes exclusive control of the drivers when in use you wouldn't be able to use your own mic with Dubler through a HDX interface. However if you used an external USB mic for example you could plug this directly into your computers USB slot as to avoid using the HDX drivers. Hope this answers your question but let me know if you need any more info!

@@VochleaMusic Ok what if I add a second sound interface with asio. Would that could work feeding the dubler inside a pro tools session?

@@chrism3931 Yes that could also work. Just to clarify, Dubler is a standalone app that sits outside of protools and needs ASIO drivers as an input for your mic. If ProTools is open you won't be able to use the HDX drivers, but yes you could use a second interface if you wanted!

If your audio interface is a UAD Apollo via Thunderbolt, Dubler 2.0 won't work. Confirmed from their support. If anyone has a work-around, please post.

am keen to buy this, but dont want to waste my money if it doesnt work with my set up, where is there a free trial???? even for just 1 day so i can test this thing out first before paying shitloads for the unknown
