We are a team of innovators working to improve the music creation workflow. Our world class products combine cutting edge technology with intuitive UX design.
Our proprietary Voice-to-MIDI technology and AI Audio Engine bridge the gap between mind and music making software. Imagine triggering drum samples by beatboxing, humming a guitar part or controlling effects by the timbre of your voice - all absolutely live.
In March 2019 we launched our first product, vocal recognition MIDI controller, Dubler Studio Kit. Our second product, Dubler 2, followed in September 2021, with numerous updates throughout 2022 and 2023 including new companion software and five additional languages.
Our business and technology has been recognised internationally for a range of design and innovation awards, including the SXSW 2018 pitch competition, Web Summit Music Tech award 2019 and NAMM High Tech Innovation award 2020.
FYI 12gb of ram is not nearly enough for audio recording especially when recording midi..32gb of ram is usually the minimum required for any modern audio recording (and the fastest processor you can afford) and a proper audio interface
Hi! If you’re having technical issues with Dubler 2 definitely get in touch with our support team at help@vochlea.co.uk and they'll get right back to you - in your email make sure to provide information about your setup including Mac/Windows operating system, soundcard, and the microphone you're using 🎤
Hi! Dubler 2 has an octave control that allows you to lower the octave of your MIDI output - this is great for whistling because whistling usually results in very high notes. People can get mixed results with whistling but if you're a confident whistler it will definitely work 🎤
Hi! You can calibrate any mic you like with Dubler 2, for the best results we strongly recommend using a dynamic microphone paired with an audio interface. Our USB mic provides a plug-and-play experience but isn't necessary to use Dubler 🎤 For more information about the best mics to use with Dubler 2 check out this article: vochlea.com/blog/the-best-microphones-for-dubler-2
Hi! Dubler 2 has a pitch bend feature that allows you to bend between notes - you can see examples at 30:27 in this video or we have a full pitch bend tutorial here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qOKYIEnbeng.htmlsi=jriR9VdoUsBr3cER
Dubler 2 has a couple features that make it so you don't need to be a great singer to use it! Firstly, the software allows you to lock your MIDI output to a specific scale and also has a visual pitch wheel that will help you reach the notes you’re going for while singing 🎤
Salut!
As someone who has just started down the road of producing EDM, this will make a big difference as my ADHD brain screws me over when trying to learn playing the piano/keyboard.
(for folks on the fence like I was, this comment's for u) buy the mic - it's worth it.. what you dont really understand yet is that the latency is suuuper low on that mic and it has a soundcard built in (i thiiink) ... so it's like 128ms or something. I think my focusrite sits around 512 or something, so I want to say that it's faster than my Launchkey and any other mic I've recorded with. so yes, it's perfect for playing the korg triton with your dog's snoring. If you dont have an interface, you're doing this whole thing wrong. It's worth it so buy one. Also, 0:03:19 "FOUR CALLING BIRDS... " #frenchhens
so so so dope. I have the mic + software + scarlet and I got lost beat boxing...hoo... I didn't realize I could also just use it like a keyboard. Towards the end of the night I stumbled upon my voice triggering a reece in real time and I debated just staying up and going HAM on these tutorials. glad I got sleep but yea, came here to say that the hype matches the results and that's rare. i'm super into ai across the board and this is in my top three with comfy ui. as much as I want to spread the word (and I do), I love that it's a secret because it's magic seeing somebody playin a guitar with their mouth or beatboxing fart wavs (a favorite of mine - may have to record a video for the vochlea folklea)
Hi! What exactly do you mean when you say it's not on tempo? Some DAWs like Ableton have auto quantizing features that instantly quantize your MIDI recordings to the grid so that may help! If you have any specific issues be sure to contact us at help@vochlea.co.uk and we'll get right back to you 🎤
can I get anything from violins to double bass flute guitar and even accordion sounds from the voice ? And maybe even hurry gurdy ? And can I live duller 2 in chromatic so can just sing and no worries about key restrictions ? And can I get shamanic drums and Indian drums and tambourine ?
Hi! Dubler 2 doesn't include any recordable sounds, so the sounds you use will be based on the sounds you have in the DAW you're using - Dubler 2 can also be used to record plugin instruments so you can keep expanding your sound library with plugins 🎤 The software can definitely be used in Chromatic mode with all 12 notes available, however we recommend using it with a key-lock because it can be harder to sing accurately in Chromatic mode
I adore the idea of dubler and it will be part of soundtracks you will probably hear, but as a symphonic composer all beat boxing progressions etc are of zero interest the ABSOLUTE GAME CHANGER for me is ONE THING AND ONLY ONE THING: Does it accurately notate (record into notes on piano roll whatever) the notes one sings or hums? That means: would it be a time sink or a time saver for writing large cinematic compositions?? Could I hum or sing the violins etc and it record the notes with generally accurate tone as well as duration (of course some errors and tweaking always needed) so that I could compose a large ensemble hum-track by hum-track? Or is the fixing it up section of the procedure make it equal to just notation or midi keyboard input?
J'ai Vu Une démonstration, c'est incroyable pour les créateurs de Beats !! Ont peut littéralement recréer des harmonies, des battements, des effets sonores.... Avec la voix !! Wow !! Vraiment Wow !!
