Dope as usual. Feeling super claustrophobic though by the fact that he's writing/editing using such a TINY window of the grid haha damn he has the browser open super wide and the track info as well. He's the man though, nothin but love and respect.

How can i reproduce the midi resampling technique so the resampled midi notes are chords all of a sudden? Didnt quite catch that. in any case, I'm looking forward to the next part!

For my taste there is way too much randomness in Mr. Bills songs. There isn't much structuring and catchy harmonies in his songs.. I kind of miss that. Anyone agrees?

Mr. Bill is far from random... while I understand that Mr. Bill veers away from the pop/traditional style of arrangement...other greats have shared this exact approach to their musical styles. Art Tatum was a very explosive jazz musician that made colouring outside of the lines musically, AMAZING! There is NOTHING random about Art Tatum...there is NOTHING random about Mr. Bill. Don't over think...

+Damian Brantley I watch most of Mr. Bills streams on twitch and I follow his stuff on almost a daily basis. Don't get me wrong.. I love Mr. Bill, but his old songs had lots of random elements and it is true because he is driven by trial and error most of times. Many other songs tho are very well composed and generally speaken I can't think of a better producer than him. Not sure why I wrote that comment back then.

I understand where you're coming from... I guess you're looking at things purely from a song point of view. Personally, I never write or create tracks anything close to Mr. Bill, but I love to pull from his out of the box type of thinking. He's definitely not a traditional arranger; set measures, consistent melodic structure bla bla... Nonetheless I listen to his point of production like I would listen to a jazz solo. I can't say a lot about his music/songs, but I love his ideas on how he creates textures and very slick chaining.
@nano7586
@nano7586 7 лет назад
+Damian Brantley I agree 100%... I do also really enjoy his music approach and he really is a cool guy that I've learned so much from already.
