Stumbled on your channel and gave it a immediate sub, relaxing and enjoyable filming style and my favorite part is showing the work and doing the work, sadly most youtube channels now days have too much talking and not enough 'getting to it'.
The Superquadro is a beautiful engine! I rebuilt my 1299 panigale engine last year during the pandemic and it’s certainly more complex to work on than most inline 4 cylinder engines! I’ve noticed the upper rod shell bearings really get worn out when the bike is used on track! I’m running the bike with a H20 performance wsbk radiator now with dedicated oil cooler so I’m interested to see how the bearings look with a lower oil temp when I next rebuild it this year!
@@chrisv-l3835 yeah the bike has run well for the last 2 years after I refreshed it. But I will probably rebuild it next year as the engine has 20000miles on it and 10000 are track miles. I will rebuild with new pistons next year!
thank you for a good advice serialgolfer~ you know what is ~ in korea H2O radiator is too expensive~ so I always recommend to my customers but not come to happen~
@@yoonracing7739 yes it’s a very expensive option I have to say. But it has made a big difference to operating temperatures of the bike! This year in mugello the air temps with 36c and the coolant never went above 88c. Where as with the standard radiator it was at 100c with the fan constantly on in 25c air temps. So if the bike is solely used for track and will experience warmer air temps it is a useful upgrade!
@@serialgolfer Thanks for the valuable feedback. My 1199 has done nearly 40000 miles but %99 of that is road. So im looking at a rebuild soon especialy if I want to do more track days. I'm not bad with most of it but dont have any of the special ducati tools yet.
Nice work. I have built several older ducatis. The engineering of the new ones like yours seems very familiar to me. They are quite complex even back to the bevel drives of the 1970s but worth the effort when it comes to riding them. 🛠🍸
Hello, these types of videos are somewhat significant, but they should last longer, but in detail the distribution, see its set-up, as we say here in Mexico, there is still a lot left to see or record rather... thank you for doing so.
hello ! Congratulations on a great job! i found this channel yesterday! I am a mechanic and auto electrician for 7 years in "Kia, Mitsubishi, Hyundai ssangyong, I own a Ducati Monster 821 stealth and a Ducati Monster S2R 800, but was this work under warranty or for a fee?
bro i have a question, its my first time to rebuild a ducati panigale v2 engine. so installed it on the body, and tried to start it, suddenly there is to much oil dripping from somehwere on the horizontal cylinder. i check the hoses its all attached and clamped. i dont know where this massive oil leaking coming from. please help
I appreciate your reply, Luca. Which car company do you work for??? In this case my labor was 43 hours~ actually I live in seoul Korea, Im korean. Generally delivery time is depends on ship or air... ship 3~ 4 weeks Air is about in 10 days...
@@yoonracing7739 oh sorry: D, I thought it was japan. I took a multi-brand car workshop from my father, but we also make motorbikes for passion, Ducati fans. I really appreciate the maniacal nature of your work and the care for the Ducatis. soon I will have to do valve service on my street848.
@@yoonracing7739 sht 43 hrs, take a lot of time this superquadro, to do, but i understand, i probably didnt know where to start. Bad news for the customer 😂
@@Street_Fighter_ are you Italian? Right? Your name is should be Italian ... work on cars and bike is so great Luca. Im one of big fan of Ducati, also work with Ducati... so im happy to work everyday. I spent more than 43 hours I think... anyway thank you for your reply and have a nice day🙂👍
@@yoonracing7739 ah Thankyou for your reply. Have you had many issues with the 955 superquadro ? I’m torn between the Panigale v2 and a gsxr 1000.. I know the Suzuki has reliability, I just don’t want to make the wrong decision. The Panigale v2 just looks so good
@@pauld8573They actually do brake frequently and when they do, they can destroy engines. I do agreed that heavier gears will probably make the bike lose power.
Great video. Just an FYI, do not torque from anywhere other than the center of the handle. Torquing from the end will give you a false torque at the bolt/nut, because your arm length is almost 2.5 inches too long.
Very professional job. Can I ask what is the small white plastic bottle you added to the bike next to the oil heat exchanger. see link drive.google.com/file/d/1nYygFbslkzk910WHp55norFfwyBcAS1l/view?usp=share_link
