I just got Mivv Suono yesterday for my ducati monster 795 after weeks of watching this video and waiting for delivery . For anyone wondering about its sound on a monster - The sound with DB killer in is really good and very comfortable for your ride as well . Without DB killer its extremely loud for the " rider " just like there is a bass drum next to your ear, but surprisingly when you stay abit away from the bike , it sound so amazing and very aggressive . the look is top in class!!
Before watching this video I was getting an Honda CBR 600 RR. With this video you have awaken again my love for Ducati, and next week my 696 is coming to me :D

Ducati sounds are insane without any DB-killers. When i bought my 750 Sport it had Termignomni "race only" mufflers without any db-killers and after few weeks of driving, my ears were bleeding and people was scared i decited to put standard mufflers on what came with the bike and sold those Termignomis =)
Hi the song is Toto Cutugno "L'italiano", you can find it easily on Yoourtube. I've MIV Inox high position exhausts on my old 1994 Monster 600, without DB killers the bike is much powerfull :)
I'm 18 and I own a Ducati Monster S2R 800 modified with some carbon fibre parts and new headlights. Dude I can tell you these things REALLY are monsters and I can confirm the "Does it scare people?" part. Totally gonna check out the "Does it set off car alarms?" Haha :-D
This video does a good job illustrating a few of the reasons I love Ducati. The only thing it's missing is flying through some canyon roads and pulling wheelies.
i just ordered a Ducati monster 696 and am looking into what exhaust to get, this video just confirmed i made the right choice, either that or i just love the idea of scaring people :p
I have Termignoni and air box (2004 Monster) with a Power Commander and once tunned the difference is so much better. Lots more torque in the lower rpm. And smoother through out the entire rev range.

Hi, yes this is a good bike for the first one. I bought a new one back in 2008, but now maybe I would buy a used one - the only thing you have to check is make sure it has all the service done every year with full history then it should be OK if the bike only has like 10`000KM. As for the song, sorry I don't remember :)
There are two db killers in these. The first ones are easy to remove with a screwdriver, but the second ones require c ring pliers and they can be tricky.
Its legal for you to run without db killer?? Where i need to move to your country. Here in switzerland, you lose your whole bike if you run without db killer
Sounds awesome, but you should be blipping on down changes to match the RPM to the new gear. Without that it sounds plain wrong and increases the chance of locking the rear wheel.
Do you know if there are any changes between the 09-12 monster 696s? I only ask as I wish to purchase these and the website states 08-10 pretty clearly, will they fit my 2012 do you think?
Not when you are riding with Ducati my friend. With slipper clutch equipped as stock on these bad boys, you can even drop into the first gear at relatively high speeds close to 50kmph and even if the rear wheel locks slightly up it will be a bit of a fun back side dance.

@semyhr9k That's awesome, I just recently turned 18 and seeing that I don't have to take anything or anyone anywhere, I've been considering a motorcycle because they are cheaper than most cars. I've been impressed with what I've seen/heard/read so far about Ducati and I think this might be worth saving up for, as long as I am a responsible driver and learn to take care of it.
