@@JonesBrosGarageshocked reducing the horsepower by 20% makes the bike more manageable and not nearly as powerful. News flash to all!!!!! Race mode is faster than low power mode.
I was thinking the V2 might be too much but I have never ridden a bike with those kinds of modes. I l guess you could start in low power and ease into it as you get more comfortable with the bike. Good video!
Great video. Love my V2 . Rode in sport mode for the initial break in period. Now I just ride in race mode. It’s amazing how much power it has when you hit the power band at 9500-11k rpm for a twin cylinder. Such a fun bike. Put a Zero gravity sport touring windshield on it. Puts the wind right over your head instead of your chest even at 85-95mph. Over that obviously your tucked.
Good stuff and helpful info. I just made it past the break-in period. After I get my first service done I'm gonna do the same experimentation with the modes.

@@Atlan_tis ahhh that’s such a sick bike. I strongly agree. The V2 is the perfect sport bike for someone who rides on the road and even occasionally track.. or someone who just wants an awesome looking bike with some power. Better than the v4 in my opinion. 👍🤟
@@JonesBrosGarage yes V2 Bayliss is a awesome bike over all, the key for Bayliss to make it best bike over is to change full exhaust to cut lots weight and I’m about to do soon and get the spring air filter and tune it, rims I will change from street fighter, they are lighter and less spinning force, than it for sure will be a weapon over all, I hate heavy bikes that compensate with more power 🤝👍🏻
Hey man great info, I agree with the power modes... definitely can feel the difference along with the engine brake modes....the rest of them I am finding is minor changes from one level to the next.....that probably is the fact DTC has 8 setting along with the DWC....I have messed with my TC quite a bit, down around 2 seems to be where I don't feel any intrusion when I just rip it from and stand still....anyway great vid. Did you happen to get the throttle spacers yet? I did, man worth every penny...that should be any Ducati owners fist add on👍
DB HBB yeah I agree with you, I've had traction at 5 because of the unpredictable roads around here, I want to start getting it lower though. I'm sure the wheelie control and traction have a big impact on how fast the bike is also. And I haven't yet but I'm going to order them today, I've been lazy 😂 I'll have to post what I think about them, I've heard all good things

Hahah yes definitely. It took me a long time to finally get through and understand how all of the settings work. They should just make it touch screen lol
@@natcrewe interesting. I figured it out but it was after break in. Doesn’t matter now. Two and a half weeks ago a garbage truck pulled in front of me. No word from the insurance yet but I’ve been messed up. Dr. visits, X-rays, MRIs, chiropractor. All of it. Lawyer is handling everything. I’ll get another one. Paid in full most likely. 👍🏻👍🏻

whats the best gesar to power wheelie in. iv had the front wheelie lift wen im leaving trafic lights but soon goes back down thats with WC on 1 and TC on 3 or 4 in race mode
It’ll stay completely down in any mode even if you slam the throttle open as long as wheelie control is on max. It’s actually pretty insane. If you come from a bike without tech to this it’ll be a huge shock

Jones - Awesome and helpful idea. I have a V2 purchased from Ducati Glasgow here in Scotland. I moved up from a 125 picking the bike up on the week i past my test. Mental i know, but when you have a dream :-D. Your video is so helpful as I have everything in SAFE mode lol. Have been wondering about medium and high power. think i will leave it all as is until i have more miles on the clock. I too love the high engine brake map for the same reasons. Keen to see more of your work on the V2. keep safe mate.
On the highest setting it'll barely allow it to pick up at all without using the clutch, on the lowest setting I'm pretty sure you can loop it if you are aggressive enough but I'm still a little nervous to find out if it'll hold a certain height.
Nice video. I bought my Monster from Mosites. Hoping to pick up a V2 next year as well. They're the closest dealer to Cleveland. Kind of a bummer for service.
Like your video, thanks young man good stuff. Had a good chuckle, " yar baby race mode". Seems your loving that bike. I test rode the ktm with lean angle abs, hated it! Trail braking into the apex and it cuts the brakes 😯 ffs all of a sudden your carrying far more corner speed than you were planing! How's the cornering abs on the Ducati?
awesome video man. i’m looking to get a bike soon and i’m debating between the V2 and the R1 ... which do you suggest, id appreciate your opinion. thanks
R1 if you want absolute thrill and a good scare. V2 if you want a more "exotic" feeling motorcycle with more low end torque and a very "light in its feet" feel. The V2 is also much comfier in my opinion but gets much hotter on your legs, so if you live in a warm area this can be a factor. The R1 is quicker in a straight line but imo the V2 has a better handling feel. I prefer the V2
The R1 is straight race bike on the street. Max power on the V2 is 160. Max power on a new R1 is 200. Huge difference not to mention the ride position is more extreme on the R1 than the V2.
Hi man, I'm very undecided about the V2 and the new S1000RR 2021 since the cost is the same, I went from a 400cc so I need something powerful, especially to use on the street, I have found some issue with the V2 like the HOT temp...It is really bad ? Or is sopportable ? Plus, I found that the s1000rr is much conf for the cruising in highway ecc...Pls help me I'm going to be crazy for choosing the one that fit on me !
I'm definitely gonna get the Ducati but tbh, the BMW is just overall the better engineered bike. Like in every way practically speaking. I still can't resist the Ducati though. Better than that ole bug eyed looking thing imo.
Hey, thanks for the video. Today I was riding it for the 4th time. Brand new. Just brought. Something happened however. Its keep dying, and some errors on the dashboard. Abs, etc
I had a issue with my 2021 V2. It would cut off sometimes whenever I was downshifting at a rapid pace around 2nd gear. When I took it in for the 620 mile service. He said the only fault code had something to do we'll see throttle I believe. But it only happened once since the service. Definitely a quirk
@@silverback3541 Thanks for try to help. Ended up they pic up the bike and one week later (last Friday) they delivered it for me. It was the speed control cable. It was bad placed and became damaged. They replaced it and the bike is perfect.
During track Day and also twisty Road sometimes can be helpfull do a shortshift while leaning, It help to reduce the "nervous" of the bike at High rpm while leaning using the torque instead of the power..
I call bs on the Engine Breaking. I wish I could turn it completely off like a stunt bike. Even 1 has too much engine break. If anyone has a clue how to do this please let me know
@@ezurmnd the seat isn’t too bad but it definitely gets hotter than pretty much any other bike I’ve ever rode. It’s not unbearable or anything but it’s for sure hotter than most bikes
Interesting. Go to Mexico and really trash their speed Limits! 62MPH in Mexico I believe! Saw 129 on this video! For info I’ve been faster (legally) on my Honda CBR650R on the German Autobahns. (148 mph indicated (238 kph).
