Ducati Streetfighter V4S | Review | Beauty or Beast? 

Just turned 4K miles on mine today. Best bike I’ve ever owned. Comfortable, great for real world motorcycling but still completely savage when you want it to be. So easy to ride. I absolutely love this bike.

That nuts and bolts montage in the intro was delicious!

Honestly, this is the best review of the bike on RU-vid and helped me make the decision to buy. Particularly the sit-down session where you guys discussed the bike. I felt identical after the test ride. I pick mine up on Friday with the full Akra system. Really stoked.

Picked my Streetfighter up two weeks go and was a bit anxious on how hard it was going to be to ride compared to my speed triple, but was amazed. Just as easy to live with around town and on my daily ride to work, but bonkers fast when you want to have some fun, best all round bike i have every owned. Good job Ducati!!

Baron on all fours at the end made me laugh😂😂😂🤣 Reminded me of the film with Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson, Starsky & Hutch, when they did the dragon scene in prison.

Hmmm, enjoyed that, must get myself a go on one of those puppies....love my Panigale, but not sure it's beautiful looks justify it being sat in my garage not being ridden...(and would be easier on my aged aching arthritis ridden shoulders). Nice one chaps!

Would love to see you guys compare a 1098 Streetfighter S against the newer V4 S. The original model is much less refined, but still an amazing proposition and I wonder if you rode them back-to-back whether you both would prefer the newer, more refined riding experience, or the more raw, visceral experience of the original.

Nice to see you round Radstock way! The corner and junction at 1:10 was where I had my very nearest arse clenching near miss. Pretty much got stuck on the pavement as someone decided that I didn’t exist and just drove straight toward the side of my bike.

I noticed Alistair is rocking the tractech evo 3's. Absolutely love those boots, so comfertable to ride in. I rode in them constantly for about 2 hours and they didnt hurt me feet

I bought one and put Arrow exhaust with Ducati up map and wow! Now its a proper raging bull as it were.

Sold the KTM-1290 and couldn’t be happier with this StreetFighter V-4S Akropavic Race Exhaust-ECU Map 220-HP, i love the wicked power everywhere unlike the 1290 that went flat at 8500-RPM. The Ducati keeps pulling to 14,500. 5th to 6th issue went away when Akropavic finally released the Up-Map for the Race Exhaust. Iam telling everyone the bike was created with the Race Exhaust in mind.

Cylinder cut is to do with temperature. It kills the rear 2 when the revs are at idle. 30mph is 1st gear, possibly 2nd not 3rd or 4th which put the revs at or below idle

Exactly why I bought the MT10SP as it’s so versatile and an every day do it all bike.

Top top review lads, as ever, although I was particularly looking forward to this one as my test ride is booked, ready to chop in the KTM SD I think...now where's that PCP paperwork...

Great review and was debating with myself whether to take the plunge for the 2020 Streetfighter but am thinking twice at the price, plus have they taken some of the Ducati "soul" out of the bike? I picked up a 1098 2010 Streetfighter a few months back as a test and have fallen for the character of that bike, true it is tricky and has issues but there is something special there. Am now thinking twice and looking over at the Tuono. Any others in my camp?

You’re definitely doing 100mph EVERY DAY on this bike. I have a 14 SF848 and always break 100. This SFV4(S) is amazing in every way. I’m getting one this year. I like the heated grips option. Can’t wait.

Performance per pound and best sounding V4, you can’t beat an Aprilia Tuono

I had the 1098 streetfighter for 3 years as my all year round commuter. It used to cut out all the time in the winter where it was too cold and it would only take supreme unleaded. It was a dog at low speeds but gosh did it sound good with the termignoni pipes. Would still have it but a car reversed into it in a car park.....

2018 I was meant to die with my 848, every time I see the new one, I legitimately tear up. I don't know if ill ever ride again. stay safe lads

I'm always looking at other bikes like the s1000 or the diavel, but the original 1098 street fighter is one of the 2 bikes that made me truly want to ride (ironically the other is a v-rod, whatever, feelings) and I constantly find myself back here, watching this video... when I can afford one I'm buying one lol

The noise change is probably due to a servo motor that opens a butterfly valve in the exhaust to provide more backpressure at low rpm.

Love the hoon cut to ride what ended up being a pretty docile naked bike. Gorgeous bike, have always loved the street fighters, but that price... Hopefully the mega naked review will have some one wheeled content, and more of that hair.

Nice looking bike in my opinion, headlights look great which is important on a naked (coming from a street triple rs owner 😬) 20k though, bit rich for me! Glad to see the content still coming, when we seeing more FZ50 stuff?! 😆

I think I want a Streetfighter V2. I reeeaaally don't see the point in 200+ hp naked bikes (even though it's absolutely wicked and awesome), but as you said, 100+ mph is just painful on them. V2SF, no wings (just like the pani V2) but with decent electronics and suspension, cheaper price point and 160 ish horsepower. Perfect all rounder for me (I say that as an 848SF owner, I'm totally not biased).

Bloody fantastic,just what I need in UK with 70 m p h limit and speed cameras every where,not to mention the potholes.

Best review of this bike I've seen. Jekyll & Hyde is probably a good analogy but importantly it seems you can choose which one you want it to be. It's undoubtedly a lovely bike but it's too much of everything for me personally but I'd be very interested if Ducati made a V2 Street fighter!

I've test ridden Streetfighter V4 back in 2020 when they first came out, including taking it up to it's top speed. I'll probably release the footage later. What really astonished me is the superb handling it has at any speeds, the ease of riding, and especially the unbelievable stability and maneuverability at high speeds, which I never encountered on any other motorcycles before (and I tested a lot of them). So, yeah, Streetfighter V4 is truly AMAZING bike in this sense. But at the same time it's extremely impractical, boring and uncomfortable (due to vibrations) to ride at sensible speeds, fuel thirsty because of the unreasonably high gearing, and very physically painful to ride at high speeds due to aerodynamic pressure pushing my helmet against my face. Therefore, my conclusion on Ducati Streetfighter V4: it is extremely cool and fun bike to take for a test ride for a couple of hours, but it's really not good and pointless bike to own and daily ride. And if you want a bike with almost the same level of handling, speed, and fun, but at the same time comfortable, practical, versatile, and awesome to ride almost everywhere - get a Multistrada V4 than. But that's for another story.

Would love to see you put it next to a MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR in a road test comparison. Battle of the Italian Supernakeds!
