Haha awesome. Your excitement is totally relatable. Shoot, even a few years on after purchasing my current bike, the BMW F900r, I still catch myself watching YT vids of the bike just to see it in motion 😅 You’ll probably do the same and I couldn’t blame ya. Congrats on the purchase!! New bike day is always a good day ✌️
As a 2022 Supersport S owner, I agree 100% with everything here. I absolutely love the Supersport S. Perfect bike for the road imho, except for heavy commuting in slow traffic (that could get annoying after a while).
Absolutely love the looks and daily rideability of the Supersport family of bikes from Ducati. I really only have two issues with this bike and neither are dealbreakers to me: 1) I feel Ducati really should’ve included cruise control, especially as a bike advertised as a sports tourer or light tourer in the least with optional hard cases and touring screen available, and 2) I can’t imagine the number of times any owner of a Ducati, especially their sportbikes, get challenged at red lights by silly boy racers in their modded cars 😅 Shoot, I sold my Ninja a few years back for a naked bike and thought that tendency was a thing of the past, but nope, I still get those guys wanting to race me. Not as often as I did on the sportbike, but it does still happen often enough. Just bikelife I suppose lol
Agree with you on the cruise control -- they have it on the multi and desertx, same engine, so just a case of an extra few lines of code in the ECU and a button on the bar. A real shame they omitted it. BMW even have one on the S1000rr and Aprillia on the RS660.
Hi William :) Been so tempted to get her too but decided to get a s1000r with m-package and forged wheels instead. In that spec is just 2k€ more over here so 4 me more bang for bucks. But esp in that white the supersport is just gorgeous. Glad you enjoy her so much :)
Hey, thanks for the video. Its was good info. I too am gonna get one soon. I noticed you have a cool mobile mount and holder. Please share the details. I would like to buy one.
It has way more torque so from a stand still you will definitely feel more acceleration. With that said, the engine does run out of puff after 8-9K RPM so for top speed 600s may still have the upper hand. But all theory, never had a real test of top speed, hard to do something like that on public roads.
Of course not! It’s too heavy and a bit high on power. But it really depends on where you live, your license tier system, and your self control. Here in Japan in order to get a full motorcycle license, you need 13 hours of classroom courses, and 21 hours of 1-on-1 or 1-on-2 riding lessons. Then a written and a riding test, and the riding test is no where similar to a US MSA course, way more strict. Thanks to that a lot of Japanese riders start on litre bikes without problem, but again they ride very VERY politely here on average.
How can you state the things you dont like about a sport bike that you're riding like a moped??? Wtf are you doing on that? Where's your vespa at? You're talking about riding it around for commuting and how it's not good for commuting and saying you dislike heat. why you riding a supersport for commuting especially at slow speeds? That thing belongs on a track.
The supersport 950 was designed to be a road bike, not a track monster. Read Ducatis description of it on their website. It’s really not a supersport as much as it is a sports tourer.
