Caleb started with 7 seconds vine videos and is nowadays doing 4 minute long sketches. Someday he will make a 2 hour long movie with him playing everyone.
I love the part about the picking 100,000 people over his two loved ones. The bad guys in film and shows always try to say "you killed these people" when we all know the person who chose who died was not responsible because all they did was answer a psycopath's deranged questions.
@@TarsonTalon There wouldn't be enough time unless you mean accept that the killer's just gonna kill them both anyway so you may as well go get 'em before they kidnap more people, which could easily be true.
This exactly. I swear some people try to make it out to be a trolley question, but in the trolley scenario you have the option not to participate, and anything you DO choose to do is by your own hand. A villain asking you to pick between 100,000 civilians vs. 2 loved ones doesn't change the fact that you would not be directly responsible for anyone's death. By law, it would be the villain at fault.
@@nomoretwitterhandles Let's say you don't participate in the trolley question. All those people died when some could have lived if you have chosen lol. That's the underlying assumption of the question, that most people think it's wrong to passively let people die when you could have done something.
@@alexanderrahl7034 Julius Caesar energy. Although "nice kidnapping bro" gets pretty dark when he gets home and is like "okay guys lets crucify them all, good times".
“Hello Richard. In front of you is a ten pound pile of peas. You will- Wait. What are you doing? Stop f***ing eating them. I’m still explaining the trap! SLOW THE F*** DOWN-“
Villain: "THAT'S IT, time to give you an impossible question: *WHO AM I?"* Victim: *says the guy's entire documented identity on this Earth* Villain: 👁👄👁
@@juwansatchell8555I'm guessing they meant like full legal name, preferred names, nicknames, usernames everything the person could possibly identify as
in truth he was right because anything with "er" at the end just becomes a shorter word. Like if you said "faster" well taking the "er" from it just makes the word "fast". So in a way they couldn't say he was wrong even if he used another word that used the "er" at the end lol. He just said short because they said shorter lol.
@@BlazingAce20 Oh, no, he was asked to *add* two letters to make the word shorter. There was only really one answer to that question, and it was "Short". I see your logic, but you got it twisted.
@@BlazingAce20 That's not even remotely true and I have no idea how you reached that conclusion lmao. I love when people say a bunch of bullshit to try and sound smart but end up sounding dumb asf 😂 The question was a trick question!! He asked "What word becomes shorter when you add two letters?". Not a SINGLE word becomes physically shorter by ADDING two letters--that's the key point you missed, ADDITION. He was quite literally asking "what word becomes [the WORD] 'shorter' when you add two letters?". The answer will always be "short" because that is the only word that BECOMES "shorter", linguistically. Short -> Shorter. You cannot turn "fast" into "shorter" by adding two letters because "fast" is not a part of the word "shorter". It's like math but with words: the only thing that can become 7 after you add 2 is 5. 7=5+2 : Shorter=Short+E R
@@nomoretwitterhandlesyou know what i love? People who don't understand what a misunderstanding is. They get all confident because somebody had a little misunderstanding then write whole ESSAYS on how the first guy is a dumbass and they aren't. Read the reply above yours before writing this stuff.
You know what I love? Not you. If you're going to act like the compassionate guy in the situation, try not to preface your comment with a sarcastic "You know what I love?"
Been having hella anxiety recently. Watching this dude genuinely just helps me take my mind off the struggles of life. Caleb’s been a total G since the vine days and I’m grateful for him.
Welp. This is now my favorite CalebCity video, oh my god. I'm terrible at riddles, but when the solutions finally clicked with me, that made me enjoy the video a lot more. I'm also interested and a bit informed on the topic of psychology (light knowledge on the topic), so I love the mind-games that Patrick made under the belief that he's in a game show. Makes me wonder if he knew what situation he was actually in, especially considering the ending... - 0:27 [The #1 Rule in "The Game Of Life"] Y'know, it's pretty true when you think about it. Life is just a war with several battles spread across it, filled with victories and setbacks. But I'm not gonna get deep in a RU-vid comment. [Edit] I forgot to mention how this is the first moment we see Patrick exploiting the crack in this host's defenses, after the silent pause following Patrick's misplaced enthusiasm. - 1:01 [Short-er] the riddle is quickly explained (just as quick as it was given), but it's just another layer in the psychological warfare that's going on between Patrick and the "game show" host. - 1:30 [Four cars] another quick riddle that makes sense when you hear the solution. Funny how they "made up" these riddles themselves when you could probably just Google search them (which is worse that they considered that's what he did if he had a phone) - 1:58 [Fingers] There's probably a methodical way to get to the conclusion of 2, then also read in and assume the host was changing his answer to 5, but I dunno how he did it. Patrick likely has picked up on the host's bewilderment and just picked the most possible answers through probability. Regardless, what an unhinged madman. - 2:04 [Two options, no right answer] Hey, it's the trolley problem! The best part about the trolley problem isn't the moral conundrum -- it's the fact that you're just going along with it under the assumption that you HAVE to make a choice AND act upon it. It reminds me of the Milgram experiment; it's not morally okay to decide who is harmed, but you're expected to carry it out. Anyway, morals aside, you don't have to follow through and become the accomplice, because *regardless of your choice,* someone else made the trolley move forward. - 3:00 [Callbacks are always cool] Ngl, it took me a while to figure it out, but this is the cleverest part in this entire video - the cherry on top of the frosted cake. The real meta riddle is remembering the """totally important""" first thing said before a series of riddles (after all, when did the riddles start in the first place?) At this point, the host is fed up with Patrick's disregard for the gravity of the situation he's in, which is the perfect moment to cash out and do the CRAZIEST nail-in-the-coffin possible to DESTROY this host's mind. The choice doesn't even matter at this point; not drinking the poison will lead to more opportunities to degrade this poor host's psyche, but drinking the poison without a second thought will likely be the last straw before getting you kicked out; therefore, you win by losing (loss = death, eventual or immediate) in the most unhinged way possible. It's not even about luck, it's about playing your cards right. Break and make them fold. Torture your torturer. Fantastic video and an instant (after long thought, of course) like. (...you know you liked a video if you start to make an essay for your comment ;) )
no, it's not like the trolley problem. in the trolley problem, there's the choice of inaction, which would make you innocent. on the two button thing, you have to pick one, but you're innocent on both choices
@@badolsmito Okay, but the point of the trolley problem is to interrogate the assumption that you are innocent through inaction, when action could reduce the number of casualties.
This video felt so reminiscent of Ryan Higa, not to take away from Caleb's creativity, though. This skit was a MASTERPIECE and had me both mind blown at the geniusness of this comedy and dying of laughter. Another golden sketch by this brilliant guy!
The superhero agency is secretly an undercover villains syndicate trying to both spread negative views on hero's while misusing them to try and stop their competition without them even knowing.

Totally agree, I love Caleb's vids and I rewatch them every now and again. Some people might think it's a little crazy how his vids can take 1-2 months for just a few minutes worth of a sketch, but there is a reason his videos never disappoint. He really perfects them.
Thank you so much for the subtitles!! They’re not always added in and I don’t necessarily need them, but they help immensely with my audio comprehension. Super appreciated! Also this is so funny, my guy was PREPARING for this his whole life apparently. 😂
I mean, knowledgeable, yes. I don’t how smart I’d call him. Dude thought he was in a game show and just drank ta cup that might have poison in it. Also guessed the finger question which has nothing to do with being smart. He was just built different
Man this is making me want a horror movie that's just a collection of short stories where the main character is either too smart or WILDLY unaware of what's happening like this
This man been on the content grind for YEARS and still delivering S tier vids, keep up the great work man, that mf cheese you gave after being told you are in a game show had me 💀
