Our second go on this fantastic wet ride at Islands of Adventure, Universal Orlando, Florida. It doesn't seem to matter where you sit, you WILL get soaked! :oD
usually when i watch videos of rides at theme parks i tend to just want to see the ride and not care about the person behind the camera but with you guys, just watching this video reminds me of how wonderful family trips are and how outrageous it can be, so thank you. :)
You guys are lucky you had lap bars! When I went on it 11 years ago all there was to hold you in were bars on the sides of the seats that you held on to for dear life.
Hannah Rose so true i was in 7th grade to hold on i literally tried to bite the seat in front of me i thought i was going to flip right out. i told myself not ever again
Hannah Rose True. I remember riding it once as a kid when it was like that. During the big drop I flew forward and busted my lip on the guard/handle bar in front of me. I was terrified to go on any ride with a drop for years
Yes! I went on it in middle school. They said don't lean forward but I did, unfortunately. I had to hold onto my friend who was sitting in front of me. I started lifting up out of my seat! I thought I was going to fly out!
That lady in the poncho is going to be me when I go on that ride next month...I love water rides but I hate being wet afterwards, especially when my hair frizzes up!
Around 4:05 that lift you go up where the waterfall disappears. It used to not do that. First time I went on this ride I got completely drenched. Last time I went it wasnt as bad. But it was a hot day so its all good.
Went there last week when I was on my first trip to Florida loved this and the popye ride! You get literally soaked in both rides but they were my highlights of this park
A lot of you complain how it should be updated, the characters in this ride are history, it's what made cartoons great, the stuff they have now for kids is terrible, want good cartoons, then look at stuff from 80 or before, it won't hurt for kids to get a history lesson. As for the water, YES. They should do something with it, cholorinate it, make it look nice and ocean blue or something.
+Jack Schissler wow, no, slow your roll bruh, Dragon Ball (Z) is one of the best cartoons/animes EVER and it was late 80s-2000s. Ed Edd n Eddy, Johnny Bravo, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Dexter's Laboratory, Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy...those were all great shows. everything show that was made pre-2005 was great. most of the 80s were terrible though.
Honestly right now cartoons are doing amazing. Did the originals from the 80s have 20+ audiences watching them for there enjoyment? Though I will agree the looney toons were awesome.
+cameron rodriguez I totally agree. I rode the Jurassic ride twice but this one only once because the drop was more intense. It feels more like you are going airborne while the Jurassic ride feels like you are going down a steep slide. In others words, don't let the pretty colors fool you.
Love this video. It makes me laugh so much. I went to Florida last September and going back this September this year, cannot wait to ride Ripsaw Falls again.
FloridaValentines My family and i are going in september 2016 as well!, can't wait. We went on 2014 holidays, and it was way too crowded, we loved it anyway, but now we are going on september to avoid that many people.
Last July my friend and I went to Islands of Adventure and we decided to go on all of the water rides at night because there was no line, and once we were soaked we could just get in the car and go home. We did the Jurassic River Ride, then this, then Popeye's. We got wet on the first two but soaked on the third. The best part though was that for each ride we got the ride vehicle to ourselves, so we had fun being as crazy as we wanted. I appreciate you posting this video because it reminds me of that memory. Thanks.
Heard the lady say “Just like Tidal Wave after last drop! Did my heart some good. I miss Astroworld. Grew up with it, worked summers there as soon as I was old enough.
Wife and I were there several years back and hit Jurassic Park, Rip Saw Falls and Bilge-Rat Barges all in a row... don't think there was a single thing dry on us from head to toe. HOT and HUMID day too. Felt good but took forever to dry because their "walk-in" dryers were all broken. Still, fun ride!
I'm watching this because I'm going to a field trip to island of adventure at March,21 2018 and I just luv watching these videos to see how it would feel anddddd it's my 5th grade field trip
Love this video!! Soking wet! We always play a game in a funpark with our family, whoever gets wet the most can choose the restaurant for evening dinner. I quess it is a dutch thing making a race out of fun rides. That lady in the back won! Hahhahaha
I remember getting in this ride four years ago. I was a little smaller and with there being no seatbelts thank goodness my uncle in law went with me and held me back but it was fun either way lol
+Less Diana I'm going too, but not as a field trip. I'm in eighth grade too. So they just decided to have a field trip to Universal Studios? Lucky. My eighth grade is going to Richmond, Virginia to visit 2 museums and a college. And it's a day trip. Literally every year before they've done an overnight trip to DC and now apparently it's a requirement that we "learn" something on trips (even though we would do that at DC...) so we can't even do amusement parks. It's actually a law now to not go to amusement parks. R.I.P. And a teacher specifically told me we weren't doing an overnight trip "because no one felt like planning one". You're really lucky!
I remember refusing to get on this ride as a kid. Was to terrified. Edit: Nvm I just had a flashback..... I did get on the ride.... It's all coming back to me.
ehm.... says who? MOM is short for mother, "MO". Please attach the link to end all rule that states that Mum is the only correct term. Oh wait, you cant? Yeaaa didn't think so. Glad I could at least be smarter than you. lol :) Thaaaaanks.
might not be able to go to Orlando now....given what has happened with hurricane damage. God only knows when things will return back to normal. sad really.
Me and my mum went on this, clueless of how wet you’d get. We saw signs saying ‘you will get soaked!’ but didn’t think it would be that bad. We were wrong. That was the most wet I’ve ever been on a ride in my life. And it was in the evening aswell making it colder, aswell as someone’s lap bar jamming in front of us at the end, meaning we had to wait for atleast 5 minutes, freezing, drenched in water in this log. Very fun though! ;)
We didn't get to go on this ride last time we were at Universal, so I am SO EXCITED to go on it when we go in two weeks time!! (even though its not open until the 12th 😭😭)
When I went with my class to Islands of adventure, I wanted to go on this so much that it was the first ride we went on. Never got dry until got home at 9:00pm. Also never knew how intense this was until I went on it. Very intense btw.
One of my favorite rides on my vacation there this past March I should have made videos of some of the rides but just wanted to enjoy my first time. Maybe when I go again in 2-3 years
