In this video I introduce five guitars that I use a lot, discuss why I like them, where I found them and demonstrate their tonal differences through a 1966 Fender Deluxe Reverb and a 1974 Marshall JMP Super Lead. (Specs below) They all have their character and unique voices!
Then at the end of the video I play all five guitars sequentially in a two and a half minute jam.
Pedals:
Zen Drive - Klon Centaur - Fulltone OCD - tuner - Axess active splitter into:
Amps:
1966 Fender Deluxe Reverb through the 25 watt Greenback speakers in a 1990 Vox AC30 combo. (I love those speakers and rarely use the amp itself).
1974 Marshall JMP Super Lead head through a Bogner 4x12 cabinet loaded with Celestion Vintage 30's.
Mic and mic pre's:
Royer 121's through API 512c Mic preamps straight to Pro Tools at 24hz/48k
Guitars are EQ'd to my taste and the final mix has light compression.
