lets rock! remember duke nukem forever? and how terrible it was? well, fear no more! the king is back baby and this time as was always intended! this project brings back the duke nukem forever we should've gotten, using leaked files and source code from the 2001 build of the game a band of misfits calling themselves MIGHTY FOOT PRODUCTIONS took the task upon themselves to make the Duke game everyone wanted and without gearbox or randys hand in it! hail to the king baby! for a WIP it's pretty damn good!

Gearbox only got ahold of Duke Nukem Forever relatively late into development. So much of what went wrong can squarely be blamed on George Broussard and his crippling awtism where he kept adding new features and swapping engines. By no means am I defending Gearbox and Randy, I’m just saying they get too much flak for what a different regard did. That being said they’re entirely to blame for stuff like Aliens Colonial Marines and other dumpster fires I can’t recall off the top of my head.

While an incredible effort by the community and still mad props to the person who leaked this I can see why this was cancelled. Still considerably better than the pathetic version Randy pooped out.

This is the game I wanted to get for the Gamecube but was disappointed that it got cancelled and never released for third-generation consoles.

I know I'm 4 months late but the graphics are pretty good for 2001. "Page" looks like a postal 2 NPC and the game is probably scuffed but it's probably a playable and entertaining enough shooter to finish it to the end. I feel like the golden desert eagle should have a bigger punch to it.

This looks like alpha gameplay. It's obviously unfinished and a lot of this would have been reworked in the final game. It's hard to put it into context, but a lot of this would have been mind-blowing in 2001. It doesn't quite feel right, though, but that's to be expected from a work in progress. A couple of more years and this could have been the real thing. You've got your work cut out for you.

I'm super stoked and grateful they made this: One criticism though - I would like the see the combat overhauled a bit. Shooting the guns feels somewhat flat, and it's hard to not take damage at times - Not exactly like modern shooters, but what they did in Brutal Doom feels amazing. Maybe it is the slight zoom in feature, or the way each shot damages the enemy, but that feels really good - and this to me seems like it could still use some touch-up. Fully understand it's not done and I'm forever grateful 🙏.

I feel like the damage taken is a bit inconsistent A 50 calibre pistol can do not much damage but the shotgun tho? Better get that shield up or the med pack ready. Like I've died more times in the secret level than I did in the main ones thanks to the pig cops
