Someone was coming to look at the mower I have for sale. The Drive Idler pulley goes out as soon as I started to mow with it. Glade it went out on me and not after he bought it.
I've got 8.2 hours on my husky z254f z turn mower. Worked fine 5 days ago when I cut grass. Fired it up today to cut grass and it wouldn't move. Checked the 2 neutral switches in the back, everything was fine. Climbed underneath and found a loose belt and my idler pulley was completely shredded, half of the damn thing was missing. No way I hit something as it sit higher than everything else. Guess I'll be buying parts for it tomorrow. Can't let my 2 acres get out of hand or I'll need a damn bush hog.
That pulley really decided to give up. I think when you get the new one installed the machine will be a bit quieter and smoother. Nice that the shaft still looks fine. Hope that bearing doesn't give you too much trouble coming off.☕😎
All these newer machines are plastic parts that should be metal . Quality is not job number one . Everything is designed to wear out .Do not worry Duke they are keeping you busy .I guess it is like job security in a way . Soon we will be making all the parts we need on a 3D printer.
If it helps anyone, I was able to unbolt the clutch locking bracket, unplug the wires ,remove and replace drive belt without removing the clutch. Z 246.
Fixed issue on pto. It came unplugged. Easy no problem. Drive belt on idler pulley attached. Still will not going into drive mode. Blades even work but no go on drive ???? Any ideas would help.
@@dukesworld3020 Had them both pushed in. Had to watch your 2 nd video and rerun the drive belt the right way on idler pulley. Once found my mistake. All good and running fine again. Thank you so much. Your videos both were great help to me. Thank you again.
What's really funny is my ldler pulley on my 54inch huskies went out today and I removed it and here it shows up on my phone other people talking about it.Go Figure.
