If I was there we could have it done in 20 minutes or less I love small jobs like this.Years ago when I was 23 started removing an engine from my car at 5:00pm Friday worked 'round the clock no sleep,had the engine reinstalled 3:00am Monday in time to go to work;330 cubic inch v-8 Oldsmobile f 85,it was tough but not as tough as cleaning up a train wreck,my hats off to you.
One more thing,you have the best videos of any kind,I could kiss you,but then you would probably whack me with that hammer you just put a new handle on,then the police would get involved and all hell would break loose,maybe I should just stay in Michigan where it's safe.
If it's an Arens I could help,my step dad and I took a 12 horse Sachs moter off his old sno-mobile and adapted it to the Arens 5 horse frame,Now you want to see snow blown without a governor,that thing could romp and stomp snow drifts,burned through 3 belts,lol.
Yep, when it rains it pours.....that is for sure. It has been one of those weeks for me. An important letter got lost in the mail. My computer monitor that I bought a couple of months ago quit on me today. I am using a spare ancient monitor that is small and blurry but at least it works. My cat is sick, my computer shelf fell and banged up my leg pretty good. I am ready to get this week over with. Funny how one week can be good the next terrible. That's life and the way it goes sometimes Walter. Just got to hang on and hope the next day is better. :)
It's nice to be shocked by the price in a good way. If one goes out on my 60+ year old Yazoo it's going to be more of a problem, I'm afraid. Look forward to seeing the rest of the repair, Walter. Thanks.
Walter, did you find your tensioner pulley to be really stiff to move? I have the model one size smaller RZ4824 with the same fabricated deck. Changing out the belt is a bear. Wondering if that's normal. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Please help.! Hit ball hitch in yard. Young man trying fix his husqvarna. Pulley bracket moves freely. Don't know if I need a new pulley or not. Trying put tension spring back on.
my rz4623 was doing the same thing minus the getting hot just had a a slight wobble.. BUT my new one did it too. So I'm thinking its the bolt.. Walter also I have an EYE bolt for the tensor spring you had any idea the play i should have in got a new belt, I have search and cant find anything on adjustment.. Thanks or anyone else
When I purchased mine I called the dealer and complained about the loose belt it had they came and installed a shorter one I will get into it one day and see if I have any tensioner ideas
