When the 1st grandchild was due, my mom (mom of six kids) pulled out some baby gear from our garage storage. It was abt 20 years since she used these baby items. Horrified źi told her that would not pass safety inspection at that time. Slats on crib too far apart. Plastic little baby carrier could tip in a second. And something had springs that haunted me as i pictured a baby getting fingers pinched badly.
I saw this lady on the phone and holding her baby and rocking the rocker with no baby in it absently mindedly. When she got off the phone and noticed there was no baby in the rocker she freaked out thinking she misplaced her baby and looked everywhere only to realize she was carrying it the whole time. She just got too good at multitasking
Yeah I was rocking the stroller at the library one time after I had already taken the baby out the most upsetting part of it is I wasted that energy rocking it for no reason
@@NeryGreenwolf didn’t have anxiety until I had a child, never thought I’d love someone more than my mum, and that someone was reliant on me to keep them alive.
This is so accurate!!!😭 As a mom of 3 literally slightly a year apart... This was my husband and I constantly... Except we never tried to throw the baby away instead of the trash... Or lay on them.😂🤣😂🤣😂 I DID however pass out from exhaustion while tried to rock one of my while I breastfed them, and they fell asleep too, and somehow they ended up dangling halfway off my lap to the floor.😅 I scooped them up SOOOO fast and checked them over to ensure they were okay, and they were... But I never did that again!😂 For every mistake you make whole sleep deprived, the more paranoid you get about making them, and the more aware you are. That's what happened with me anyways. Can't say if it's the same for other parents... But woof... That sleep deprivation is def something!😂😂😂
I still remember my aunt had her 2nd baby and it been a month roughly, they were going somewhere outside.she her husband and her 1st daughter they locked the house and were getting on the vehicle and my aunt felt like she is forgetting something very important and then she remembered that she forgot the baby in the house 😅😅😂 then she ran inside and brought the baby and felt so sorry for forgetting the baby so kept hugging and kissing her 😂😂😂
My brother almost did the last one! 😂 Fortunately for me I was so tiny, he missed by 2 inches as I silently squeezed between the cushions, before my sister saw & screamed bloody murder. 😂
@@cryingbananajo My oldest memories go back to age 3 but was also very tiny, I could easily pass for 1 1/2-2yrs old. My siblings are roughly 9-18 yrs older.
Lmao. My son was 14 mo when my baby girl was born. He's autistic and roughhhhh. He doesn't have a gentle bone in his body. At all. Never has. And one time when she's only a few days old her brother came down knee first on top of her head and the rest of him smooshed her. I was right beside her a pushed him off of her fast and rushed her to the er while dad stayed home with son. She was ok. 😂 She was doing tummy time. 😂
The formula one is just soo relatable 😂 Once, my mom went to see my sister after her 2nd delivery, so her mother in law made a cup of tea for my mom but she misplaced the milk with formula. Mom didn't meintion it and drank the whole thing cz she didn't wanted to make her feel bad. But it's just so funny..😂😂😂
Ahhh! The joys of sleep deprivation! You three are such a beautiful family! ❤ I did a few of these. Once, I walked away from the trash can with my baby IN MY ARMS, panicked, and looked in the trash can to make sure it was the trash bag that I had put in there. After that, I made sure my daughter (then again when I had my son a few years later) was safe in their crib before taking out the trash. I was married, but I was responsible for ALL household duties as a SAHM -hubby never helped "because he worked all day". Therefore, sometimes I had to leave my baby alone to take out the trash. I took showers only if the baby slept while hubby was home.Sleep deprivation took hold a LOT. Give yourself permission to not be perfect. Just do your best for you & your child.❤
I met a friend for coffee. We brought our new babies. When I walked in the shop she looked a me and asked where my baby was. I turned around immediately and ran back to the car. I forgot her in the car. I can't believe I did that.
If it makes you feel any better, one time my husband watched a customer walk into his toy store holding a toddler's hand, then she stopped in the doorway, sighed loudly, walked out and walked back in a few minutes later with the toddler in one hand and an infant in a car seat in the other 😂 so it's not just you by a long shot lol
My mom once brought me, my siblings, and some friends to a pick-your-own strawberry farm, forgot my brother in his toddler carseat, and didn't remember he was there until everyone was getting their baskets. She sprinted back to the car to find him bawling his eyes out
“At least it wasn’t pumped milk” - not because pumped milk tastes bad (it’s sweet and mellow, kinda vanilla-y and mildly fruity), but because it’s in limited supply. You can always buy more formula at any pharmacy in the US, supermarket, even bodegas. You can’t run out to Target and buy human milk.
Giving the baby a baby doll reminds me of a funny story: when I turned one some relative gave me a baby doll for my birthday, and I threw it across the room in a “there can only be one” way. I then proceeded to beat it up. There are pictures in the photo album my family has capturing this moment.
😂 I have twins. That one time I picked up one of them for diaper change in the middle of the night, wanted to put them back, but the teddy was in the way, so I grabbed the teddy and it wailed. Turned out I grabbed the other twin, because at some point my brain switched and thought I had the other one
@@annabees Most definetly. But just so there is no confusion: Our newborn babies had bare beds, in which they never selpt, and a bare stroller or whatever you would call that, in which they slept, but almost never went out :D They got their teddies with, I think 7 or 8 months
I literally scored the highest on the rubric for the essay portion of the college entrance exam I needed to complete so the college could discern which level course I would need. And all on zero sleep.
The transition at the end was sooo smooothh man i actually thought Nari was really under the covers Wait... or was she! "Dramatic shock +dramatic soundtrack"
I’ve heard of someone who mistook diaper cream for toothpaste once (they used diaper cream on their toothbrush; don’t worry the baby did not get toothpaste to the hiney lol). As a new parent myself, I can definitely see how they would too. Those tubes can be so similar when you’ve only had 3 hours of sleep over the last week 😂
I was a first time mom. Took my daughter in the store in the stroller. About 10mins while shopping I remembered I came with the baby.😭. I went crazy looking thru the rows of clothes. I found looking around and then at me with such disappointment. She is 25 and still gives me that look. I forgot her by the door while I was trying to leave the house for work. Hard being first time parents.
This reminds me of the Korean variety show Running Man. One of the hosts threw a birthday party for his child attended by the other cast members and their kids. Then this cast member went to the party with his son and when he was driving home, he realized he left his son at the party. 😂
Once my aunt couldn't find her baby and she searched the whole house multiple times only to find out that he was sleeping peacefully under the blanket for hours.. he's all grown up now having his own family... Omg 😱 225 likes...
Under the blanket for Hours? I’ll believe you because weirder things have happened. It’s so scary that babies can pull a blanket over their faces, but not be able to pull it off
This happened when I was a baby(according to my parents) lmao. But I was under several pillows and my parents and grandparents got crazy looking for me. 😂😂😂
😂😂😂❤ yep I've got 8 sister's and I've seen them do similar things also..I unfortunately couldn't never have children but they knew if they needed an extra hand I was there for them... Lord love 'em..
my mom once got extra formula from the hospital but she breast feeds so she didn't need it. she let me and my younger siblings try it. i can confirm that it is seriously revolting.
Im pretty sure I threw away my tax documents instead of the envelope when I brought my kids home 😂😂 Luckily I'm not in America so everything is online. I threw away the govt's "Here is our basic calculations. Make corrections or tell us your bank info to get your return." Paper
