At this point, LeBron had went to 4 straight finals... 4 years later, it would be 8 straight finals and then 9 out of 10 years with 3 different teams (Mia, Cleveland and LAL). For that caller to say he didn't want LeBron on the Knicks, I would shockingly agree with Mike for once, had to be one of the dumbest callers ever
@HuangYanling5728 buddy... if it's that easy than why teams (like my Knicks) can NEVER land a star player? Last time they were even close to winning anything was in the 90s. And they haven't won a championship since the early 70s? You're simplifying more than what it is
@@antboogie6645 And even when my Knicks did land a "star" player in Carmelo they still had to trade half their team even though they could have landed him in free agency for nothing. They depleted a team that was gelling, playing together, was a ton of fun to watch and one that was...winning. Bottom line is that any team CAN land a star player for a huge price but how many realistically WILL? The Nets have basically never done anything but a few stars decided they wanted to play together there. Great. Didn't work out, but I don't see that ever happening in Sacramento, Memphis or with the deserved reputation of their owner, the Knicks. Of all the extraordinary things about LeBron that defy explanation, perhaps the most impressive is what happened to the teams he left. Cleveland went right back to being the worst team in the league (twice) and Miami was a nothing special, mediocre team.
This is timeless. There’s a lot of things I don’t really like about LeBron (such as the fact that he now sits out half the season’s games) but it makes no sense to not grab him if he’s available. You don’t pass up a Top 5 player of all-time, period.
You do realize that Lebron doesn't rely that big of an improvement over Melo with the Knicks as constructed and frankly Lebron wouldn't go to the Knicks in the first place. Hell Clevland is in a better position long term than the Knicks are as well as the Hawks and 76ers(if they don't trade their two top 10 picks). The Knicks right now have too much money tied up in role players, a guy who can't score and is only useful for blocks and rebounds and A guy who is getting paid $20 mil to be injured all season
Here's my opinion about LeBron going to New York: LeBron is my favorite player of all time, I don't want him in New York because of the bum ass players on the Knicks. There is no way LeBron will win a championship in New York alone
