I can do even dumber. I worked at a pizza joint when I was 17. And next door was a store that sold *VIDEO SURVEILLANCE EQUIPMENT* and these 3 rocket scientists thought it’d be great idea to steal from there. They broke in and tripped like 20 motion sensor cameras. The police had like almost 50 angles of video footage to find them. One of these geniuses even took his mask off and looked RIGHT AT the camera.
Drugs cause people to regress back to childhood. She was already on heroin when she did this. She probably did like 400 robberies throughout her career, and got caught 3 times. To her, "money" translates to "indescribable happiness". They will literally risk having their head obliterated by a 12ga. to grab the Walmart earrings off your mom's dresser drawer.
@thelastmotel “A persistent pattern of disregard for others.” Looks like Mischievous_Moth hit the nail on the head. Double-check your terms so that you understand.
Some girl scout troops have lock boxes for their money, but they aren't provided to troops by council, so if your troop can't afford it you don't get one. Also most girls have to pay for their cookies up front and BUY them from their troop and THEN resell them to sort of make their money back. So that very much was that girl's money
Yea I used to be in Girl Scouts and we had a lock box and it sat in front of us I think when we sold cookies (no I’m not 7 I was forced to do that stuff)
Wouldn't a lockbox make it easier to steal tho? You just grab the box and then when you get home grab a power tool and crack it open. Its not like the lockbox is gonna be a bank vault level thief deterrent
Also, the judge and her lawyer were both reprimanded, and the lawyer was forced to resign, when it was found they conspired illegally to ensure Stephanie received preferential treatment and reduced punishment.
Nah, this is just in line with all the people who want to make shitty the norm by just being bluntly shitty all the time. There's a difference between honesty and being a sociopath who just doesn't care.
She’s literally holding back laughter when talking about her crimes lmao, she’s like a early 2000’s cartoon villain who always gets away with it so she can come back next episode
Charlie has given many dumb criminals the title of “dumbest criminal ever”. In all honesty I think he should do a tier list to see who the dumbest criminal of all time is.
I like how she alternates between "We needed the money" and "We just wanted money." they didn't really need it, they were just greedy and saw some easy targets.
If she was a heroin addict at the time of the girl scout heist I would actually hate her less as that's an addiction you need to feed otherwise the withdrawal can kill you. But she literally spent the money on Starbucks, which should of got her an extra year just on principle.
"It's not her money so I didn't feel bad about it" As a girl scout, I'll have you know we make 75 cents per every box of cookies we make (a box is $4 where I live). That doesn't even go to us personally, it just goes to support our troop. Like it goes into our troop's bank account, we can use this money to go on trips. So of the $150 she stole, $28.13 would have gone to the girl's troop. So yes, you are stealing directly from that girl's troop which in turn is stealing from her. It's not like stealing from Walmart where if you steal, it has no effect on the employees and only hurts the big corporation. It affects the girl directly 💀Also, it affects her mentally. Ever heard of trauma, my guy? Also, it's so fucked up how little we make from selling cookies! What is more criminal, how much we make from selling cookies or the $150 she stole?
I was a boy scout and when we sold chocolate it was a 50% profit but anything we didn't sell from a box came out of that profit. And what were raising funds for was literally the croup to go to summer camp.
They're both drinking starbucks and smiling through the whole interview they literally don't care, goes to show how people are raised and how they think they're always in the right
@@user-bv3yy8sq3f and weird as fuck because who the hell clicks on someone's profile immediately after seeing what a horrible piece of shit that someone is
These women seem like complete psychopaths. Hearing the rap sheet at the end, I just had flashbacks to the outrageously Chaotic Evil cartoon villains featured in Robocop. I can't imagine the sidekick had much difference in her career based on them sharing the exact same behaviour in the interview.
Props to her for not showing remorse where she has none and actually being honest about her dogshit personality and unwillingness to change. She helped get herself the sentence she deserved.
I like to believe that prior to this the worst thing she had ever done was jaywalking and was a standup citizen who would give 10% of her paychecks to charity and regularly volunteered at the local retirement home. But stealing cookie money was such an advanced crime that deeply affected her psyche in such a way that she immediately became a hardened criminal that not even the justice system could maintain or rehabilitate
"Not from stealing from girl scouts this time, that was just her gateway drug to a harder drug, heroin" will forever be my favourite string of words ever spun by Charlie
@@webspinster While I don't agree with diagnosing random strangers and this is purely educational, following the only possible medical diagnostic criteria (the DSM-5 ) which unfortunately umbrella'd psychopathy into ASPD, it states ASPD is characterised by (AT LEAST THREE OF THE BELOW): a pattern of lack of adherence to social norms and laws, (which they appear to break repeatedly), a pattern of deceitfulness for personal pleasure (which they appear to do repeatedly), impulsivity and inability to plan (which they appear to have), lack of remorse/rationalising hurting or stealing from others (which they do), aggressive behaviour, irresponsible such as intense debt or missing work, or reckless towards their/other's safety. We can't comment on the last three since there's no evidence of that, there's no proof of conduct disorder, and we can't say they don't have another issue. Even if we ignore DSM-5 and follow old psychopathy criteria, PCL-R, glibness (definite 0), grandiose sense of worth, need for stimulation, pathological lying, manipulative, *lack of remorse* , shallow affect, *lack of empathy* , parasitic lifestyle, *poor behavioural control* , promiscuous behaviour, early behavioural issues, lack of realistic goals, *impulsive* , irresponsible, *failure to accept responsibility* , multiple short-term relationships, *juvenile delinquency* , *variety of crimes* , revoked release. I've bolded the ones of which there is evidence that this woman has displayed throughout her life. TL;DR; To say this isn't what psychopathy might look like when it aligns with a lot of the symptoms for diagnosis is off. I'm not their therapist so I would never say they actually have it, but this can be what psychopathy looks like. It can also just be drug addiction, a different mental illness. Could be brain damage. It can also just be entitlement. But psychopathy isn't always a man in a business suit slurping up on people's misery while manipulating all of his bosses into giving him a $1 mil raise. It can look like this too.
@@emstink dude you're just reading too much into it, just some girls trying to save face after being caught, it's not that deep. Not giving a fuck about stealing from a little girl doesn't make you a psychopath nor does it make you fall into aspd umbrella
@Nonaya Bidness the money earned from selling cookies is used to fund trips and activities for the troop. Where did you get the idea it goes to a corporation??
No need to be upset at people or hate them for how they are. No reason to hate someone's character as long as you understand the person. Women have no morality or principles and that's okay
@@oz_jones ok. You still literally used the term addict 😂 this woman doesn't seem to function well. Especially when she's described as "out of control"
I love how the news did the absolute minimum to blur her face out. I feel like if you squint, you can almost make it out clearly. They also aren't sorry about shit. They're sorry they got caught
As a former Girl Scout, this makes my blood boil honestly. We use the money from cookies to fund our trips, which educate Scouts and also open opportunities for them to help their communties. The fact that this woman said she had no remorse probably makes her one of the most selfish people ever.
Tbh they did society a favour by getting busted doing a stupid stunt like that. They really thought 1. That nobody would be watching 2. They wouldn't get caught 3. That $150 was worth the risk. Now, they have a potentially life altering, long term criminal offence on their record. 🤡
I mean, they can be happy, parents just need to watch their kids more because this shit happens usually while their eyes are off their kids. Sometimes it's out of their hands but most of the time, it's semi preventable. For example, I wouldn't be letting my kid have a Twitter EVER. It's shocking that there are fucking 11 year olds on that site. Sucks that parents genuinely do need to put their kids on a literal leash 99% of the time because of assholes and pedos but it is how it is.
I mean yeah, the world is a terrible place and always had been. There's good in it too, but not enough for it to have ever been a good idea to leave kids in charge of large amounts of money.
@@lockerbuddy2039 yeah I see where you're coming from, I just hate that how that's a thing, if I was ro have kids I'll make sure to raise them to be safe .
How they can get in front of a camera with no remorse and then complain about their charges is disturbing. They will be forever known for what they did.
They've gotta be high or some shit I'm calling it now. There's no way they're BOTH THAT narcissistic on an average day. They reacted the exact same and acted like it wasn't even real
Worked with a kid at a restaurant. Everyone knew the kid stole from the fridge. Even the GM knew he was stealing steaks and burgers. One day the genius shoves an entire 5lb bag of mini gummy bears into his pants and tries to walk out. That bag was so comically massive. The MOD had to fire him. GM just figured he needed food to survive. Not realizing just how much they let this kid steal. Worst part is he was the laziest worker possible. I genuinely never saw him do his job.
These "people" are perfect examples of blatant sociopathic behavior. Literally stealing from defenseless children and not a single hint of remorse. Almost as if they did it every day. And they probably do, so they should be jailed for quite a while.
These kinds of people don't understand or have the capacity to be reformed by imprisonment. There's only one language these kinds of people understand. Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to discuss that language on YT.
0:43 my troop always used a lockbox. The leaders would always have one or two people in charge of watching it and tallying money while the rest would be flagging people down.
@Link to the clip fuck are you talking about? And you're commenting yourself. Follow your own logic mate. Edit: More click bait shit. Should have known. Took me like 20 secs but damn they're jumping through every hoop now.
Right? It's not hard to cry a little and say things were so hard, you were so hungry that you were two steps away from biting the little girl scout's head off before you snapped back into reality and realised the only moral thing for you to do would be to steal the money so you didn't resort to cannibalism.
I don't think she's physically capable. She's literally smirking in every video. I don't think she's even pretended to be sorry for a single thing in her entire life the nerve endings required for a facial expression other than "smug bitch" have completely withered away.
They're either very stupid and clueless or they're narcissistic people or psychopathic people who lacks empathy and her crying after sentencing in this case would be fake too.
There was a girl who came from a wealthy family who stole from my friend's fundraising box for choir for no reason other than she wanted money. My friend was raising money for their trip to Disneyland at the end of the year. To make up the difference my friend and I baked cookies and sold those along with the rest of the candy bars we had left (she also stole a bunch of candy bars).
I've heard rich kids end up stealing a lot of the time out of boredom and entitlement. I can maybe turn the other cheek for someone genuinely struggling to get by who needs it. Assholes like this just like to steal because it's 'fun' and a way to get 'free money.'
😅 Yeah exactly but to be fair it isn't the Girl Scouts Money - They don't keep any of it- It's a MLM for kids but worse cuz all they get is a piece of lil piece of cloth
If you think that's the dumbest criminal, just remember the dude that tried robbing a store by putting lemon juice on his face because he thought it worked like "invisible ink" and would make him invisible to cameras.
It was 2 dudes who pulled the lemon juice heist and one of them didn't believe the other about the lemon juice hack so he took a polaroid of his face with the juice on. Something about the resulting photo convinced him it was true. Also the part about invisible ink didn't appear in initial reporting nor any official quotes from police interviews so it may actually be apocryphal.
Damn, that woman is relentless. And why are you allowed to violate your parole 10 times? Depending on the severity, one would figure you'd only be allowed like 1-3 times, then back to jail.
I’ve been a Girl Scout since I was 5. I’m a senior now (as ranked in the troop - I’m only a freshman in high school), and neither of the two troops I’ve been in have been robbed while selling cookies. It’s crazy to think that someone would just decide to steal from a stand of little girls outside a Walmart, especially considering how little money (usually only 10% - 20%) actually goes to the troop. I’m glad this type of thing doesn’t happen more often!
@@chinsaw2727 most of the money goes to the local Girl Scout Council where the sale was made. Girl Scout Councils use the money from cookie sales to fund various educational programs, make uniforms, badges, etc.
@@coriolis07 and to line their pockets... Company steals from the girls just as much using their free labor The CEO in 2021 made over $700,000 and there's a yearly membership fee to be a girl scout
I live in Canada so it's called Girl Guides and I shit you not - this happened to me, sort of lol someone approached my friend while I was heading to the next doorstep and my friends military dad came out of no where chasing a teenager down the middle of the street at Mach 5. He had the money, my friend was fine and I was clueless so we kept on fundraising. Thanks for unlocking that memory Charlie. Lol forget safes, just keep an angry dad on sniper duty.
As a former Girl Scout, we had a lock box, I don't understand why they didn't, but it has been pretty common practice within the Girl Scout community, when you sell cookies, you get a lock box, and you learn responsibility with money and keeping it safe. Big L on that Girl Scout troop, unfortunately.
This is shockingly true. People don't understand that making good choices is a skill. So many people are in prison because they simply can not think through a good decision.
@@ATFADL “I could get clean and get a stable job…. … OR I could rob the liquor store with my lighter that sort of looks like a knife! That is such an easier choice, man I am so smart! What could possibly go wrong?”
@@chinsaw2727 The trouble is, that is the thought process of some people. Not that crime is the right choice, but that it is the choice they actually know how make. At the end of the day people live with the consequences of their actions, good or bad. However, many people who commit crimes actually do believe, they just won't be caught, so they don't think about what getting cought would mean for them.
@Aidan Callaghan honestly, that is the case for some people, and some people just think they won't be caught, for literally no reason, they just think they won't.
Credit where it’s due: No fake tears or bullshitting her story. She actually makes the interview questions sound stupid. “Why did you do it?” “I saw some money and I wanted it, wtf?” 🤨 “What have you learned from this?” “Don’t get caught, obviously.”🤷♀️ Even when she gets the 60-day sentence, after shoving the camera, she shows a lot of self-awareness. “I don’t have much of an attitude anymore. Except for yesterday, but that was just anger.” Shit, that’s actually very reasonable. She still got what she deserved! But at least she ain’t trying to waste the world’s time like Amber Heard or something.
Fully agree. I'm tired of fake ass apology videos. "- Oooh I don't know how I could've said that !, I was going through a bad place... ". Nope, not here, she may be a rotten asshole, but at least she ain't a hypocrite
I think she just hadn't realized it was a serious situation. If she'd been considering jail at the time of the interview she would've sounded more contrite.
I think what they fault to realize is that they’re “proudly” declaring to the world that they think they’re more incompetent than 9-year-old cookie-sellers and would rather forcefully mooch money off of them and the rest of society.
